What colors do ;you like? Do you have a favorite comfortor/bedspread? If not you could go and find some fabric that has some colors you love in it and pull the paint color from there. It all depends on the feel you want the room to have. Do you want it relaxing? romantic? light and airy? dark and dramatic?

My all time favorite color for a bedroom is periwinkle (bluish-lavendar). You can use white with it for a crisp look, or yellow for a cheerful look. If you want to add drama, red accents work well too. It's a soothing, romantic color and great for a bedroom.

Don't paint the ceiling dark, if you change your mind later you will have a heck of a job covering it.

Very pale light colours..then you can add pictures and posters without overkill

I think you should paint your walls the prettiest color in your bedspread, the ceiling should be the lightest color in your bedspread. Good luck!
