I have known this girl for 2 years and we are best friends. I love her and would love to be more than friends, but she doesnt want that. She has recently gotten a new boy friend (who i really like, hes real fun). Obviously I am very jelous, since i liked her like that, but I now feel that she is becoming more distant from her. It used to be that when we hung out with friends, it would be me that she spoke to most, that she stood closest to, that she played around with most. We were best friends (regardless of how I felt). But now it is her boyfriend and I feel kind of left out. will this end? Will it return to normal once her relationship isnt so new? What should I do and what are your thoughts on this?

We love someone but after a while We find out that we are not M.F.E.O ( made for each other ) .
So don't worry , you will find your dream girl ; who wouldn't leave you for any reason !!!

Most people crave closeness and contact - when she didn't have a boyfriend, she was getting some of that from you. As long as the boyfriend is around you will be out of luck.

Think of it in terms of her taking herself off of the market. In a way she 'used' you but I don't think she meant to - the world can be a lonely place. Are you truely friends? Can you accept her being with someone else? If not don't drag this out, it will only be more painful for you. She's obviously been honest with you - respect her for that.

Obviously she only sees you as a friend and sometimes even though you may feel like you want to be more than friends she doesn't see it the same way so I would suggest that even though it may hurt that she has a boyfriend as long as she stays your friend that is the best kind of relationship you can have...let her know that if it's ok you would also like to hang out with her when her boyfriend is not around because it makes you feel uncomfortable...it doesn't hurt to try and ask...

I can relate to you very well, let me tell you how fate works,My best friend is a guy,he's been my best friend since the day I met him,we used to do everything together, talked about everything. He's had his share of girlfriends and I've had boyfriends, every time we got hurt we would find our way back to one another. We stopped waisting our time with other people and realized that we were in love now we're making wedding plans.
I hope things work out the same for you
good luck

look ! u seem to be serious and if u really want to save ur friendship then i think there is only one way out. u just go and talk to her .as u said u are best friends that means u understans each other's feeling and so she will understand u .u just tell her that u r feeling that u r being egnored orwhatever u want to say. in relationships i mean in good relationships only words can work where there is this kind of problem or misunderstanding i wish every thing become allright

Well I think you need to chill. Because she is not in to you, anything you try to do will come off as being creepy. I think when you're with her (as friends), if her bf comes up in conversation, CHANGE THE TOPIC! Talk about the war in Iraq, "Snakes on a Plane", Lance Bass, anything but him! You only keep falling down the grand canyon of the friend zone if you allow yourself to listen to her talk about him.

The next thing you need to work on is your own security issues. Sounds like to me that if the two of you were together, you'd progress into this possessive and controlling person that a lot of insecure guys morph into simply to hold on to girls by boosting their own egos.

There aren't any certain answers if it will ever be back to the way it used to be, but i want you to understand that you cannot force your feelings and expect her to simply drop him and date you.
Be there as a friend, take with a grain of salt the comments of people on here trying only to be funny and getting the 2 pts, and think long and hard before you do anything.

She knows you care for her and still she dates someone else... this means she only sees you as a friend, therefor Forget it... you are down and out.. Admit this.. Move on, find a Girl, if she cares at all, she will let you know, its most likely that she wont. Im sure you can find someone just as Interesting as her. You are going to keep tormenting yourself... and after years you will realize that you've just wasted your time while she had fun with hers. Personal Experience... Good Luck.

coming from a girl---TELL HER YOU FEEL LEFT OUT--once your relationship is back to normal stay "just friends" as long as shes going out with this other guy. After they break-up offer comfort and support as a friend for a while then you can tell her how you really feel.

It may pass when she stops the relationship, but maybe you should talk to her about it. Like explaine that its ok if she doesnt want to be more than friends, but give her some "ground rules" so you wont get as jealous (i.e. example: polietly explaine it makes you jealous and ask if she can not kiss her bf when you are around.)
