I am 4 1/2 months along with my 2nd child. Hubby and I are talking about weather or not to get a double-stroller or not. Our son is 3 years old. Do you think it is worth getting a double stroller or should I just get a new stroller with a car seat. His infant car seat is 3 years old. What do you think?

My daughter was 18 months old when my son was born. I was given a double stroller for my baby shower. For me, it was too much trouble. Isn't a 3 year old a bit big to be in a stroller? Cause for a double stroller the weight limit on the front seat was like 35 or 40 pounds.
I would get a stroller with a car seat, because in 3 years, there have been a lot of changes in safety regulations for car seats.

How much does your son ride in the stroller now? If he still rides in it, a double would probably be a good idea. My kids were three years apart, and there were times I used a double stroller. We had a double jogger, and also a smaller stroller that was similar to an umbrella stroller, but it had a platform on the back for the older child to stand on. That way he could walk most of the time, but hop on if he got tired. As far as a four year old in a stroller being a sign of bad parenting, that is one of the most idiotic things I have ever heard. If you travel with children, they often get tired before you do. Try walking around Disneyland all day, or visiting a big city with a four year old.

I'd vote the new stroller and carseat duo. At 3 years old, he should be able to walk with you and keep a hand on the buggy. If not then, definately by 5. So you'll not get alot of use out of it. If you want the extra suggestion, get a baby backpack or carry wrap. For at least the first year, it was easier to have the baby riding on my body and push a stroller (2 and 4 years riding). If you plan to have a third child by the time this baby will be three, maybe the stroller is worth it. We planned three, so our double stroller got over 4 years of use.

choose for the finished sized double, the double umbrella strollers are a soreness to flow. additionally.. choose for a "tandem" style, particularly than part by using part. They fit extra effective interior the aisles of retailers. you could additionally evaluate a sling and a single stroller, wearing one or the different of the youngsters, and don't under estimate the fee of a baby leash! Your older baby would be jogging all too quickly, and those babies vanish in an eyeblink, particularly while you're taking good care of a youthful sibling!

A 3 year old car seat isstill fine, if it hasn't been banged around too much and you don't really need a double stroller since yourson won't wnat to be in it for much longer. However, If you do decide to get it, check out thesecond hand baby stores first before buying new, since they are still in really good shape, and you won't need it for long. Is it really worth paying $200 for something you won't be using for more than 6 months. A 4 year old in a stroller is one sign of bad parenting.

I'd get a sling for the new baby, and keep your singe stroller for your 3 year old.
