Why is it that intolerant, stupid people seem to be avoiding me here?

Question

Most of the answers I get are from kind, well mannered or well meaning folk...but the intolerant and stupid goons from all sides of the Religion and Sprituality section (Atheist, Christian, Muslim, you name 'em) seem to avoid me like the plague...it makes decisively dealing with them much harder?

Are they really cowards who love to insult and spit at others but can't take intelligent conversation when the opportunity presents itself?

OK....perhaps I have phrased this question too roughly for its own good...(mental note: never ever post questions at 1am in the morning...).

It seems to be working though...as I write this at least 3 people seem to be ticked off with what I just said...and none of them have shown me any intelligence in attacking me... does this mean I have to stoop to their level to get anything out of these people?

To Dee: going by your logic then why should intolerant people keep spitting their mouths off when they know that we've made up our minds...just saying.

why would you want to deal with intolerant, stupid people?
that's what most people try to get away from!!

you are not supposed to surround yourself with negativity.
if u can help someone, fine, but if u cannot leave them alone.

you do not have to "awaken" everyone u come across, people have to learn life's lessons in their own way, on their own time.
u also shouldn't call everyone a coward, different people are ignorant for different reasons--- some people never had an opportunity to learn anything because of their circumstances, others do choose to remain that way but that is how they may be able to deal with life.
sure it can be a pain in the azz, but only if u let it.

What's the original question that you are asking. Perhaps your questions are too well thought out and they are afraid to get into a debate with you. I have found that those types of people are only willing to spar on their terms. In answer to the question at the end of your statement yes, you hit the proverbial "nail on the head."

Most evangelist do not listen, they only preach. There is no argument or discussion in their minds. They might pose a question, but they rarely give answers or enter discussions.
