Because if people allow others to tell them what to believe it takes the responsibility out of their hands. It is the easy path that many lazy people accept.

Why do weak minded people think that the sharing of ideas in a public forum is somehow 'telling you what to believe'?
The only place I think that argument is valid is in monopolistic public schools, where our children are force-fed one-sided liberal ideas by their teachers, at an age where they will believe them simply because they are in position of authority.

You have the choice to believe what you want but it is always a good thing to get as many points of views out there as you can so that you will be well informed to make the decisions on your own accord. Please be true to yourself and you will always be happy. Peace
