He is part of the family now, and he's only trying to be a good father-figure to you. I know that you are thinking: "Well, he's NOT my father.". I understand that, and he's not trying to replace your father, but rather be a sort of 2nd father to you. Just talk to him about it, and figure out a compromise that you both can live with happily.

Maybe he's trying too hard.Has he got kids?If not,he may not know how to act around them. You have to talk to your mom, your happiness counts as well.If you can't talk to her, write her a letter saying what's wrong and how you feel.Ask if you can all sit down and talk things through.Hopefully they'll respect you and listen to you for making the first move and not ignoring the problem, like they seem to be doing.Tell them you want to make things work but he has to give you time, not leap into your life as Super Dad.Good luck.Hope it all works out for you Joan

first communicate to your mom what the sole problem is about him, and you just might be amazed how she will take that into considersation and get him to change his dad route to a more enjoyable one. If that doesn't work you can always join the circus, okay maybe not, just breathe and know your happiness counts so let it be known, but in a nice positive formation. Good luck

I understand your annoyed yet you will possibly desire to deal with the actuality that your mom is married to this guy. you won't like it yet that's unlikely to alter issues. If being married to him makes you mom chuffed then the splendid subject to do is basically to be chuffed for her. You do might desire to be a splash extra mature concerning to the region. i may well be curious to correctly known why you hate him plenty...

Well, you could begin by telling him exactly how you feel. Tell him although he & your mother are in love what your feeling is the total opposite and if he continues acting like your father it may just affect his relationship with your mother.

you don't have to like him....but respect him...there is a difference.
have a heart to heart with him...tell him that it hurts and that it will take time to adjust to a new situation. your mom should be the one to enforce discipline if necessary and he needs to realize that he doesnt have that kind of authority...tell your mom how you feel too....only with open communication can you get through this

Tolerate him. You and your mom need to have a heart to heart and tell her how you feel. He is your STEP dad not your dad and let him know that.

try to deal as best you can...at lease try to respect him, even though he may not deserve it. He is your step dad, but not your actual dad, I think he is just trying to be a dad to you.

you're a kid - he's an adult and a part of the family; have respect and follow the rules. When you're old enough to be on your own you can do your own thing.
