The first ´´chosen´´ were the israelites to be a separate nation, a priesthood to serve God. Then through Jesus all nations receive by faith the same privilege. You can be chosen to receive eternal life by faith in Jesus; Also, you can be chosen to become the first fruits or the ruling hierarchy in heaven. Those who overcome all will inherit all. Those who bury their talents and do nothing for the kingdom of God, guess what they´ll get. In order to receive power over the nations is not enough just to be saved, you must be an overcomer. God bless you!!!

The chosen people are those whom, having been born with free will, choose to have faith and obey the Ten Commandments. Be they Jacobs Israelites or those of the Nations. It is a shame that most of the warring parties against Israel do not realise they are initially part of the twelve tribes of Israel, too much evil emanates from ignorance of religion-regards hassa (non denominational Christian) believer that no one knows the father except the the son Jesus Christ.

I'm not Jewish, but my discussions with Jewish friends about their religion have shown me that the Jews don't think they are chosen to be treated like a "favorite child," pampered, showered with gifts of peace and plenty, and loved more than the "other children."
They were chosen for the difficult task of being an example for all the world of what a righteous people can be, exhorted to stand upright and even look God himself in the face, unafraid.

The chosen people (and I think they believe there are only 400 of them) are the only ones who get to go to be with the Lord. The rest of us will never even see him.

No every dominant group believes to be the chosen one by their gods! Judaism , Hindu, Christianity and Islam all believe they are chosen to spread their religion. Bear in mind that earlier philosophers used religion as a political tool to control the masses. So to perpertuate themselves they claimed that their groups we chosen by God to rule their groups. The Egyptians did it, the Greeks , the Romans and the Europeans. I believe everyone is the same and being claimed as a choosen group manipulating pple's beliefs by political means

Not according to Arminian thought. God asked the Israelites into His heart, and after they chose Him, and then He entered into a relationship begging them to obey Him, punishing them when He could get away with it, but ever hoping that they would follow Him. That's the theology that permeates Christian circles today, why should Israel be any different when it comes to the definition of "chosen people"?

God chose the jewish faith the people that His son jesus would be born into. No big secret there. The jews are God's chosen people. But anyone can be adopted into the family of God just by accepting Jesus as their savior. NO one is second class or considered trash. They themselves make the choice to be a part of Jesus family or not.

anybody can be the chosen people- he said you are "a chosen generation, a royal priesthood" all you have to do is give your life to him- anybody can be chosen, if you are not chosen its not that He didn't want to choose its that you chose not to choose him
