Jesus is predicted to be our Messiah and the Messiah for all people--Isaiah 7vs14 to be born God with us a sign miracle to a virgin,
Isaiah 9 vs 6 "Unto us a child is born a Son is given, and he will be the prince of peace, the almighty God, and the wonderfull counselor."

the two commings of the Messiah is found in Isaiah 52 vs 13- 52 vs 12 He will be exualted but first marred more than any man, and lay down his life despised and rejected, and will make atonement for our sins."

truth is -to be Jewish you have to know the Messiah-if u dont know Jesus you may say your an elepahnt but your not-Jewish means to believe the Jewish scriptures-otherwise your only physically Jewish-that is why those that reject the Messiah-say they are Jewish and so are athiest Jews, etc-because the common bond is REJECTION OF THE JEWISH MESSIAH!

PRAY and share with my Jewish people-have faith and witness-and my Jewish people and

muslims that are fakes why not trustJesus

There is a difference between the Jewish FAITH and Jewish PEOPLE. Whatever lady youre talking to means that you cannot believe that Jesus is the Son of God and still be of the Jewish faith. They do not believe Jesus was the Messiah and are still waiting for such a person to come and restore Israel.

The Q is, do Jews think the Messiah will be the Son of God?

If so why didnt they believe in Jesus? If not, how do they reconcile the verses Jesus gave as proof that the Messiah would in fact be called "God."

Yes, you are Jewish! As Don said, a Jew that believes in Jesus is a perfected Jew! I hesitate to use the word Christian as even though it is supposed to mean follower of Christ, the word is losing it's meaning to those who think they can call themselves Christian and pick and choose what they believe and want to follow. I myself call myself a Messianic Christian. God gave His people a perfect picture of Yeshua through the feasts, Sabbath and teachings and experiences found in the OT. Many Jews rejected that - I don't fully understand the reasons. The Gentiles were then grafted into the Olive tree- the ROOT being Yeshua. We were grafted in amongst the Jews (Hebrews, God's chosen people) Unfortunately many Christians were deceived into believing that the Jewish way of life - the feasts , Sabbath, etc were not meant for us- these things did not come from the Jews but from God himself- Yeshua came and fulfilled these things- meaning perfected them - showed us how to walk in them without all of the additives and oppression of the rabbinical Jews of the day. The law is not salvation but if you love the Lord you WILL obey his commandments- personally I would rather celebrated the Jewish (God given ) feasts than all of the candy coated pagan rooted feasts that the Christians call their own.
You are Jewish through and through- don't let anyone tell you different- you have just come to the realization of who your savior is- the savior that was sent FIRST to the Jews and then to the Gentiles. Yeshua is the Jewish messiah so how would it make sense that once you placed your faith in Yeshua you would no longer be Jewish? It is the Christians that have it backwards!
Shalom!!

Being Jewish involves believing in the Rambam's 13 Rules, which include that the Torah will never be switched. Also, it says (Leviticus 26:44) that G-d will never abandon his covenent with the Jews. And your 'proofs'? The verse in Isiah 7 says "Almah", young woman, not "Bithulah", virgin. 9:5- "Wondourous in council IS G-d, the everlasting Father, the Ruler of peace" -How do you explain "the everlasting father"? And in 52? That's obviously talking about Israel, the nation as a single person.
According to you, what's the difference between a 'jew' and a christian?

You are obviously a "Messianic Jew" which is exactly what you describe yourself to be. There is a congregation of them in a town nearby me. They are very nice people who keep most of the old traditions of Judaism but also incorporate the typical protestant christian's doctrine. If I was a believer, I would choose to join such a group, because they are probably the closest to what the first christians, who were Jews, were like. Look them up online and see if they have a synagog/church in your area. You would really like it, I'm sure. I have the highest respect for that particular sect of christianity. I'm an atheist/agnostic person who was raised in a southern baptist church. And, I've checked out alot of religions and rejected them all. So, hopefully you can accept my objective opinion and ignore those who are biased by their own religions. Peace

David,
When I see your "questions" I wonder why lies, arrogance, deception, and cowardly propagandists exist.
=======================
David,
You are a Christian. Stop this evil and deceptive form of missionizing. It degrades christianity.

. It is, by definition, impossible for it to be "jewish" to believe in jesus. "Jewish" is, by defintion, what jews have historically and contemporarily believe. Since in neither scenario do we find "believing in jesus", then we must clearly realize that belief in jesus is not something "jewish". You can call it "biblical" (and still be wrong), but certainly not "jewish".
. on the side, the subject of Isaiah 53 is promised a "long life" and "seed" (i.e. physical children). clearly this isn't about jesus.
. and isaiah 7 is clearly not messianic if you read the whole chapter. and "alma" doesn't mean virgin either. You'd know that if you spoke hebrew (I guess it wasn't part of your "extensive jewish upbringing", huh?)
. on the side, isaiah 9 can't be about jesus since, according to christianity, he's the "son" not the "father" (as the verse states). Nor did he have control of the governement (to the contrary, the roman government killed him). And he certainly did not establish "endless peace".

oh, and lastly, I've decided that you truly epitomize everything I find intensely intellectually unsatisfying about christianity. (And you clearly do not understand hebrew.)

It's me, David. Christianity is one religion. Judaism is one religion. You cannot be both at the same time, as I have told you before.

And, Jews do not believe the messiah will be part of G-d, but, a man-a mere human-----with traits to be a great person and leader. Saying Jesus is G-d is being a heretic. There is no G-d but G-d.

Christianity did no longer certainly ensue on the time of Christ. it truly is genuine. It grew to become right into a branch of Judaism up till 350 years after Christ! Christ grew to become into an Essene Jew and practiced and abserved all of the Jewish traditions. needless to say, somebody (a minimum of on the time) grew to become into Jewish and believed in Yeshiva as Messiah.

You can be Jewish and a Christian. There is nothing in the Bible that would preclude you from becoming a Christian. All you have to do is believe. Tell this lady that you are proud to be a Christian and that she can't judge you- that's God's job.
Have a great day!!!

you should join Jews for Jesus

I just love it when Christians think they know more about being a Jew than Jews do. What arrogance!

What synagogue did you attend and what Haftorah portion did you read at your Bar Mitzvah?

Why won't you say? And we are certainly NOT your Jewish people!
