30 years ago cancer was a death sentance, now there are some types of cancer that have a 90% survival rate. So cancer is perfectly curable, HIV/Aids could be cured in the future.

What we really need to worry about is that many diseases are becoming resistant to antibiotics - drug companies are far more interested in making medication people need to take for a long time, rather than a couple of weeks - because all they care about is money.

Uh, for the incurable, no.

Some (many) types of cancer are curable.

HIV is not a disease, but a virus, so no, there is no "cure" for it.

AIDS comes from infection by the HIV virus. It probably (almost certainly) originated in Africa, as did we.

And most problems that were once incurable are now mere annoyances, so there's a chance that we'll find cures for the others, too.

***EDIT***
To those who believe some crackpot conspiracy theory about the big, bad, "Pharmaco-Medical Complex," take a tiny peek at the health of people in third-world countries, where there is no Pharmaco-Medical Complex (I think I've coined a term!) The children there die of freakin' measles. Most of you have never even SEEN a case of measles, but nearly a million people a year die of it, most of them children. And of diarhea. But developed country's children seldom die of those things because we have those terrible doctors and drug companies.

And yeah, right, the many thousands of pharmacological and medical researchers don't HAVE children who may need the help they can discover, nor do any of them have loved ones with cancer, diabetes, liver disease or who are succeptable to common viruses and bacteria! Gimmee a break! It's all a scheme to "keep us down." They ARE us, for Pete's sake!

As to, "They're only in it for the money." well, duh! They're businesses! Do you know anyone else who could fund the billions in research? Do you think you could do it in your garage?

Oops! I went off there. But it is unimaginable to me that anyone could be so unaware as to believe that garbage!

Yes.
Eventually, all will be cured.
It just takes time, research and money (how many billions are we spending in Iraq?).

Where do I think AIDS comes from?
Best I can say, it apparently originated in Africa sometime in the last century (see link).

Suck the idea in. Consciously hold in and contract your abdominals while you’re walking, sitting for your desk or making the meal. This will help to strengthen your abs and your core, and bring you one step closer to some sort of flatter stomach.

Al dente pasta features a lower GI value, so can be a healthier option than nuking your fusilli till it’s soggy.
