Islam's allah was a throw away idol. Some Muslims have claimed that the word "Allah" is in the Bible because the Biblical word "Allelujah." They then mispronounce the word as "Allah-lujah" But "Allelujah" is not a compound Arabic word with "Allah" being the first part of the word. It is a Hebrew word with the name of God being "JAH" (or Yahweh) and the verb "alle" meaning "praise to." It means "praise to Yahweh." The Arabic word "Allah" is not in the word.
The same error is found in the Muslim argument that the word "Baca" (Psa. 94:6) really means "Mecca." The valley of Baca is in northern Israel.
The present meaning of a word is irrelevant to what it meant in ancient times. The word "Allah" is a good example. When confronted by the historical evidence that the word was used by pagan Arabs in pre-Islamic times to refer to a high god who was married to the sun-goddess and had three daughters, some Muslims will quote dictionaries, encyclopedias, etc. to prove that "Allah means God." They are thus using modern definitions to define what the word meant over a thousand years ago! What "Allah" means now has no bearing on what it meant before Muhammad.
Islam's origins have been traced back by scholars to the ancient fertility religion of the worship of the moon god which was always the dominant religion of Arabia. The moon god was worshipped by praying toward Mecca several times a day, making an annual pilgrimage to the Kabah which was a temple of the moon god, running around the Kabah seven times, caressing an idol of a black stone set in the wall of the Kabah, running between two hills, making animal sacrifices, gathering on Fridays for prayers, giving alms to the poor, etc. These were pagan rites practiced by the Arabs long before Muhammad was born. What religion today practices the pagan rites of the moon god? Islam! This explains why the crescent moon is the symbol of Islam. It is placed on top of mosques and minarets and displayed on hats, flags, rugs, amulets and even jewelry. Every time you see the Muslim symbol of a crescent moon, you are seeing the ancient symbol of the moon god.

well, in english the word Allah translates to god. They are the same thing. It is just that different religions have different ways of worshiping him. So yes, Allah is the same god we serve.

Many will say that Allah is the same as the Christian God. I do not believe the they are the same, because the Muslim description of Allah differs from the Christian description of God, and the teaching of Muhammad differ so greatly from the teachings of Jesus. Also, Islam does not recognize Jesus as God on earth, only a prophet like Muhammad. Christianity teaches that Jesus was God on earth. If you are interested in this topic you might read this book by former professor of Islamic history at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt it is: "Jesus and Muhammad" by Mark Gabriel PhD. I found it very informative and I couldn't put it down.

*Allah* is the Arabic word for "God"
Muslims refer to the God of Islam as *Allah*
Someone said that the difference was that their God was dead and "our God" was never alive (I deduce by "Our God" they mean the God of Christianity) But *Allah* was not alive in that sense - I believe they were confusing *Allah* and *Mohammed* Mohammed was a messenger of God, a prophet in Islam. Mohammed was not the only prophet though, there were others. But Mohammed is the most important prophet. One of the five pillars of Islam, is that Muslims say ( I believe every day ) "There is no God but Allah and Mohammed was his prophet"
They also say many, many phrases daily that incorporate the word "Allah" such as :
Inshallah - If God is Willing
El hamdouallah - Thanks be to God
Bismillallah - Oh my God (Strangely enough this word also appeared in the Queen Song, Bohemian Rapsody, as Freddie Mercury was 1/2 Iranian)
Wallahi - I swear by God
Etc, Etc - Even those Arabs who are not Muslim (though this number is small) still use these phrases above and the word *Allah* every day - as the Arabic language is based mainly on the language in which the Qu'ran was written in and many of the words come from this book.

Muslims will tell you yes, Allah and God are one and the same. The name "Allah" (al-Lah) is Arabic for "the God". It is derived from al-Lut, which was the pagan of Muhammed's village/tribe. Before the Qur'an was compiled, Muhammed tried to get Jews and Christians to follow him by claiming al-Lut was the same as the Judeo-Christian God. When the Jews and Christians rejected Muhammed and his teachings, he got back at them by adding verses in the Qur'an claiming the Jews had corrupted the Torah and that Jesus' apostles had corrupted the Gospels. He also added stuff like, "Befriend not the Jews, nor Christians, for they are friends of each other." It depends on what religion you follow. Conservative Christianity will tell you Allah is a pagan deity, while liberal and some moderate Christians will tell you that God is Allah and Allah is God.

It would seem so, but NO. In more detail study of the Islamic religion this god tries to appear as the same as the God of Jews. Yet, the laws and anspirations people get from this god and the Quran are completely different.
It's all a matter of opinion. Since Mohammed came 600 years after Christ who said that others would come after Him, and they would claim to be prophets of God, but they would be blasphemers.
Therefore, I think Allah is the Devil that has presented himself as a god of the Moon and makes people use hate as a way to descend into "heaven". Any religion and god that teaches hate and revenge in the heart of people is not the same god that sent Jesus.
Sadly, all Islamic people are going to Hell and they don't even know it.

It is the same G-d. Allah is the name in Arabic. If you read a copy of the Christian Bible in Arabic (there are Christian Arabs, you know), the name for G-d here is also Allah.
