Most headaches are caused by overly tight muscles in the neck and upper back. The pain medications you're taking are not helping because they do not relax tight muscles.
Have you considered getting a deep muscle massage to relax your neck and back muscles? That clears it up for most people.
The muscles that most commonly cause tension headaches are the suboccipitals, upper trapezius and the sternocleidomastoid. They generally cause headache patterns that center around your temples, at the back of your head or over one or both eyes.
Have you tried applying a slush/ice pack to your neck, shoulders or back of your head? To make a slush bag, put 3 or 4 handfuls of ice cubes in a blender and chop them up until you have a slushy consistency. Put the slush in a large zip lock bag, add a little water. This can be applied directly on the skin. Apply the slush bag for 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off, as often as you like until the symptoms lessen.
Try some self-massage. Push your thumbs gently underneath the ridge on the back of your head, the ridge that's about level with the bottom of your ears. This area will probably be tender and may even refer some sensations to where you're feeling your headache when you press into it. Gently massage this area to release tension.
Try massaging your neck, too. You might also try laying on a tennis ball or golf ball. Lay on the floor and work the ball between your shoulder blades and upper back, (never on the spine!). If you find a tender spot, stay there and lightly work the ball into the muscle for 15 to 20 seconds then move the ball slightly in another direction and repeat. If any points here refer into your headache zone you've found at least part of the cause. This technique really works good to release tight muscles.
Make sure you are drinking enough water. Dehydration will trigger some vicious headaches.

Not sure if this advice will work if a script isn't, but often, headaches are a sign of dehydration. Drink about a gallon today...drink a LOT more than usual. If that doesn't work, sometimes (believe it or not) an orgasm will. If that doesn't work, vomiting will often help. It can also be a sign of a nutritional deficiency. Take some vitamins for the next few days. If you can get to the health food store and find one made with pharmaceutical grade vitamins as opposed to Flintstones or Centrum, then all the better.
When you lie down, place a cold pack over your forhead and eyes. If you have a cloth covered one that can be kept in the freezer, that will work best. If not then wrap a bag of frozen peas or even green beans up in a rag and use those. Best of luck to you.

I had a headache like that once. It was stress related. I had to go to the hospital. They gave me a Demerol shot. I slept for almost 24 hrs. After that I felt awesome.
I hope you feel better soon.
