faith is trust-when u give someon a dollar to get u something the dollar leaves your hand and u r trusting that person to get it for you-with Jesus we put our heart into his hands-and get saved by repenting for our sins-which he died for-its wonderfull and then he helps you do the right thing--- I can do all good things through the Messiah who strengthens me." Philippians 4 vs 4-20

HELL is described by Jesus in the bible- "Gnashin teeth and torment forever" for rejecting Him and his words (John 12 vs 48&Revelation 19-22nd chapters

the Jewish prophet Daniel also described Hell-as being abhored forever-and other will go to everlasting life (heaven) Daniel 12vs 1&2

i prayed--- Jesus i dont want to go to hell, thanks for dying for my sins, come into my heart and help me, be my friend-amen

and it happened i became more than a Jew by birth and barmitzvah--i became a Jew with the Jewish Messiah or Isaiah 52 vs 13-53vs12 to be exaulted but first marred more than any-and to atone

Once we take Jesus into our heart we are suppose to be faithful and by being faithful we stay put of the pits of hell.
We just have to have faith and pray and ask for forgiveness. The reason we should not fear is because everything has a reason and God knows things that we will never understand. If you have faith and follow in his steps them you should have enough faith to beleive that he will not let you go to hell but instead take you up to heaven with him. Remember God loves you and he wants to harm to come to us, he will take care of his people.

I'm with Danielle on this one! Jews don't fear the torment of Hell because we have a totally different concept of "hell" and there's no torment there. You couldn't have possibly learned that when you were studying for your Bar Mitzvah! Oh, and what synagogue did you attend and what was your Haftorah portion at your Bar Mitzvah? I've now asked you that question three or four times...why won't you answer?

David,
When I see your "questions" I wonder why lies, arrogance, deception, and cowardly propagandists exist.
=======================
David,
You are a Christian. Stop this evil and deceptive form of missionizing. It degrades christianity.

It is, by definition, impossible for it to be "jewish" to believe in jesus. "Jewish" is, by defintion, what jews have historically and contemporarily believe. Since in neither scenario do we find "believing in jesus", then we must clearly realize that belief in jesus is not something "jewish". You can call it "biblical" (and still be wrong), but certainly not "jewish".

on the side, the subject of Isaiah 53 is promised a "long life" and "seed" (i.e. physical children). clearly this isn't about jesus.

and isaiah 7 is clearly not messianic if you read the whole chapter. and "alma" doesn't mean virgin either. You'd know that if you spoke hebrew (I guess it wasn't part of your "extensive jewish upbringing", huh?)

on the side, isaiah 9 can't be about jesus since, according to christianity, he's the "son" not the "father" (as the verse states). Nor did he have control of the governement (to the contrary, the roman government killed him). And he certainly did not establish "endless peace".

oh, and lastly, I've decided that you truly epitomize everything I find intensely intellectually unsatisfying about christianity. (And you clearly do not understand hebrew.)

the minute you were "saved" you became christian. i don't understand why you go through this song and dance for validation. regardless of which faith you choose, choose one for christ's sake (pun intended). if this is for your own entertainment, then i suggest you find entertainment elsewhere. the answer to your question, "why does Jesus...?" He tells us not to be afraid because He is one of a very few of God's children who knows the Truth. He can honestly tell us not to be afraid; because, He knows there is no everlasting damnation waiting for the "evil" ones. He knows the eternal flame is our own torture, put unto us, by us. He says fear not, to give us faith and believe in ourselves enough to never have to experience our version of hell on earth or beyond.

How can you be Jewish when the Jews don't believe Jesus has been here yet? That he will come soon.

He tells us to not be afraid and to simply trust him about how to get to Heaven and avoid eternal damnation in Hell , which you did ... kewl :) ...this makes my day , esspeicially in a world of such wicked hate and sinful reprobates that refuse to see Jesus for who he truely is ...a Loving Saviour ! .
