Yes. Some have a stronger accent than others, though. It's English- just sounds different just like Australians or Irish people. I think the longer you're around them, the easier it is to understand.

Most of the time I can but their jargon is confusing at times. I love to hear Jamaican accents and I really enjoy listening to Jamaican influenced music.

I don't think I've ever met a Jamaican in person, but I had no problems understanding those I've seen on TV and I'm not even a native speaker of English.

I can because my best friend's Jamaican. Her dad's got a really thick accent and speaks dense patois--if I don't get it, I let him know. He doesn't always get my Southernisms either, though.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no....but, that is pretty much the same thing as anywhere else I go. Scotland has an accent that is hard for me to understand...the slangier English accents are hard for me to understand....some Australians are hard for me to understand. Irish and Welsh the same. Its ok though...just means I gotta listen extra hard...

When they speak English, yes. I can also understand some Patois, but not 100%.

jaaaa, man....I have worked in the Island, and we have many Jamaicans in Miami...I never had any problem...and if they like you...U gotta very loyal friend for life...

Love the accent, I just LOVE it. But the Patois that is spoken, that we do NOT understand because we are not supposed to!
