You can go to any drugstore and you see anti-wrinkle creams for men,lotions and potions to make a man look prettier. Even plastic surgery is on the rise for males. Men these days are driving girlie cars! Women seem to appreciate that men are becoming more prettier and more feminine---its pathetic! Nowadays women favor men with shaved legs, arms, and chest.
Whatever happened to the real masculine male? Real men who had bodyhair and didnt care about getting wrinkles or aging. Its what defines a man. Beauty is a womans territory! Real men are supposed to be warriors, protectors, meat eaters, and love sports and take pride in being a man. Today, men have become "wussified" and want to look like prettyboys. Women seem to dig that. No wonder are divorce rate is on the rise---men and women just dont know their roles anymore. I would rather have a woman like a man who will fight to the death and protect her rather than plucking his eyebrows in the mirror.

maybe these women feel the man will care more about her, and maybe some of them do.
Why can't a metro sexual protect a woman? I've dated metros in the past and they stood up for me.
I don't think there's anything more apealing about either kind of man, and honestly would prefer something inbetween. Metros are a phase, or at least that's my theory.

Well you said it. Believe it or not, pu$$y rules the world! It's just basically a phase. Back in the days, women dug the men with the jeri curls and tight shirts with the chest hair out so that's how men dressed. Now it seems like women are more into the preppy dudes so more dudes will jump on that ship! Don't worry, times will change again and it may be something totally different like men in skirts. But it all stems from what the majority of women are looking for, think about it!

The need for the strong aggressive men is low these days because society has change dramatically. Men don't need to sit on their porch with a shotgun to chase away danger or go into the woods and chop trees to build a new home. Women have changed to. Now they are all about independece and being more of the dominant partner in the relationship. Men use to go to work and come home after a hard to to a trophy wife now its the other way around.

It's not a fad. I am as far from metro-sexual as you can get without being gross. I have a hairy chest :) and I don't care if the my clothes match. But as above its not a fad, these metrosexuals as you call it are teaching their children the same thing. Yes eventually it will go away but fads phase out in a generation, when the children of the next generation are taught then its no longer a fad. O and as far as taking care of yourself is concerned a bath, shave, deodorant with cologne is all a man needs or should want. whether or not your clothes match your eyes is a woman thing but I guess if he wants to be girly that is their problem.

IN other words...you are ugly and dont get much attention from the ladeis right?...maybe if you got rid of your unibrow...and maybe just trimmed your "manly" hair then girls might notice you like to take care of yourself...and yes men do need to keep away wrinkles for a while...do you really think that when your wife turns 40 she wants to look like she is married to a 60 or 70+ year old? I DONT THINK SO...

Well I can be pretty primitive so I must agree with you on this, metro men are just not cutting it for me I need a man so any males out there don't shave, wax, pluck, or go to the same spa I do its not doing it for me. I my self have noticed that its cool to be clean but when your more anal about your nails and hair than me its a problem. Don't give a **** what era where in.

For girls now, women like men who can take care of themselves and aren't too needy for a girl's help. Times have changed in a while with the addition of female receiving the same jobs as men and even driving men cars. I hope this helps and best of luck!

I don't think women prefer metrosexuals over masculine men as you put it. I think they prefer well groomed men with manners compared to macho assholes. Just be yourself and you will find someone eventually or not. Some people just aren't meant to be in relationships.

Women don't generally love men who are pathetic wimps - we love men who are both masculine and sensative. I love a man who can cry, hold my purse, and buy gay porn for my sister (for some reason she likes gay guys). That is sexy because it shows how secure he is in his sexuality. But on the flip side, he also has to be stong, protective, and able to get rough in bed if I like. LOL.
