get a cream called "Mederma" it will help with the scar type tissue on your back. you can try it on the legs as well. you can find it in drug stores near first aid usually, but sometimes with the lotions.
scabies infection scars will fade over time, but it will take a while.

Matt C answered how I was going to lol. I've had scabies before when I was a teenager. I caught it from touching a boy's hand during a school dance practice and he was infected with it. I didn't normally touch people but it was mandatory and I didn't feel like arguing so I did what I had to. Big mistake! It's itchy as heck and it spread to my brother and sister and mom as well. We had to go to the doctor to get a prescription for a cream that made it go away. If you itch it and then touch something else or another part of you, it will spread guaranteed. I don't think it's dangerous but it's just really itchy and grose and it should be taken care of. I think that yes you could get it from a toilet seat if it's been recently sat on by a person who has scabies on there bum. And yes it could cross over from socks.

You may have waited too long before treatment... the reason for the scars. Just get out in the sun and maybe that will help with the scarring... maybe a few tanning bed appointments would help as well. Give it a little longer though, b/c scabies is serious. Did you clean your entire house to make sure they were gone?

Scars and marks post scabies...... They can take a long time to go. You should use loads of moisturisers on that area.... dryness can lead to itching and furtehr increase the marks.
Any dark patch when exposed to sun becomes darker. So please use a sunscreen 2-3 times daily.
Its going to some time for the marks to decrease... so be patient. A mild cortisone cream for 2-3 weeks might hasten the lightening effect... but dont overuse the cream.

The cream you used, Permethrin probably, kills the scabies and prevents you from spreading it. However, the scabies which are little mites or bugs are still down buried in your skin, and your skin will just shed and rub off as normal and once they get up to the epidermis, the outer layer of your skin, they will just flake off. The discoloration and feeling of itching or bugs still being under your skin will go away.

I am not sure what you want to know, but my husband had them and I had him put aloe Vera right from the plant on the affected areas. He would let it dry and then keep Cocoa butter on it.
These things seemed to help the most for him. I have also heard of people using liquid vitamin E on the affected areas.
Good luck!
