Mine are certainly not mixed on this illegal law breaker.she needs to be arrested and tried for the Social Security fraud, and if found guilty, serve her time ,then be deported. Her child should be placed in either foster care or with a legal relative, and go home with his mother when she is deported. That way she is with her child.
I don't understand how the legal truth has you confused.Morality doesn't enter into this equation, shes a criminal hiding from prosecution and deportation. She should have thought of her child when she was entering into this country not once but twice that we know about. So much for motherly love.

On one hand, she needs to take care of her kid, on the other, she's in our country illegally, I guess her kid's a citizen, she is not, so it's classic 'anchor baby'. But, if you kid can stay, and you must leave, but the sympathy vote says 'dont split up the family', do you deport none, one, or both? I say 'both', because it's wrong to split up the family, that in the case of an indecision, the child, who is a minor, should go with the parents because the child cannot support themselves, and to do otherwise is to make the child a ward of the state. She entered the United States illegally, has been working and living in our country in full breach of the relevant laws, to my mind the minimum for that is to send her back home. It's sad, it's a difficult choice, but at the end of the day, extrapolate how many illegal immigrants would choose to try to gain 'anchor baby' citizenship if her case resulted in being granted citizenship as a precedent.
Illegal immigration is just that, illegal, it's against the law, and as much as people don't like them, our immigration laws were written for a reason, and they need to be followed.
Mexico has socioeconomic problems. But, these socioeconomic problems will not be solved by the population of that country moving en masse to this country. There are better and more lasting ways to solve their problems. Write to Congress and speak against illegal immigration. Legal 'si', illegal 'no'.

She's breaking the law and has a history of doing so. That's why she was scheduled for deportation in the first place. I know she has this argument about her son and how she'll have to leave him because he is a u.s. citizen but any good mother wouldn't risk jail time with a child. she should take her son with her back to mexico and apply for citizenship just like the rest of the immigrants that come over. What makes her better than everyone else in the same situation? not a damn thing.

The pastor should be charged with aiding an illegal alien and the alien should be deported. Simple as that. My church would never do such a thing since God instructs us to obey the laws of our land. This pastor will have have quite a mess on his hands on Earth and in eternity. If he is a true believer, then he will be very embarrassed in front of the Lord. If he is not a true believer he'll face the lake of fire.
Now how's that for hellfire and damnation??

i think she is a criminal trying to make herself into a martyr. she has snuck back into this country after being deported before. i sympathize with her situation but she should have thought about her citizenship status before having her son here.
on the other hand, if all of the illegals just went and hid inside of a church, we wouldn't have to deal with them. they would be the church's problem.

You shall not oppress an alien; you well know how it feels to be an alien, since you were once aliens yourselves in the land of Egypt. (Exodus 23:9)
The émigré Holy Family of Nazareth, fleeing into Egypt, is the archetype of every refugee family. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, living in exile in Egypt to escape the fury of an evil king, are, for all times and all places, the models and protectors of every migrant, alien and refugee of whatever kind who, whether compelled by fear of persecution or by want, is forced to leave his native land, his beloved parents and relatives, his close friends, and to seek a foreign soil. (Exsul Familia, Pope Pius XII, 1952)
"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" (The Statue of Liberty)
The earth, this country, everything we have are gifts from God, which we are called to share with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
With love in Christ.

She is not an immigrant
She is an illegal
A criminal
seeking sanctuary for her crimes.
She is an embarrassment to herself, her people, and to us. She smiles to the camera, holding her illegitimate child, with stolen Social Security number and tries to pass herself off as some kind of saint.

There is no such thing as Sanctuary. If she is breaking the law she should be dealt with like any other criminal. There is no such thing as an illegal immigrant - - that person is an illegal alien invader and should be dealt with as such.

What happened to separation of CHurch and state? The state should march in there and take her...screw sanctity.
However, I also think its pretty lame that the Govt wants to throw her out of here....here she is actually trying to alleviate issues....but thats why they want her out!
