The dog usually bites my leg and when I try to free myself from its jaws it bites onto my fingers. It will not let go and I usually then wake up wondering what on earth the dream was all about, if anything? I am not afraid of dogs at all but have had this dream twice recently now and in the past on other occasions.

Dog

To see a dog in your dream, indicate a skill that you have ignored or forgotten, but needs to be activated. Alternatively, dogs may symbolize intuition, loyalty, generosity, protection, and fidelity. Your own values and intentions will enable you to go forward in the world and succeed. If the dog is vicious and/or growling, then it signifies some inner conflict within yourself. It may indicate betrayal and untrustworthiness. If the dog is dead or dying, then it indicates a loss of a good friend. Alternatively, it represents a deterioration of your instincts.

To dream that a dog bites your on the leg, suggests that you have lost your ability to balance aspects of your life. You may be hesitant in approaching a new situation or have no desire to move forward with your goals.

Your conscience is biting you. The dog is a powerful symbol in a dream and represents many things. What else your dream means I really cant say, they are notoriously difficult to interpret accurately. They're so personal. You'll know when you'r e on the right track when somebody says something that seems to hit the right spot.

Really frightening dreams are susually caused by external factors. For example if you are too hot or too cold in bed or if you are in a hunched and uncomfortable position, this can cause nightmares. Otherwise you might be feeling a bit stressed out. Try to get some more down time to do things that you enjoy.

Dreams are interesting and sometimes they are the result of our subconscious minds trying to tell us something. I think an obvious answer would be is you're being "hounded" by something that won't let go. You can't run from it so you need to face what ever it is and take care of it.

Oh my.... off the wall here.....love bites. Could be a relationship problem?

dreaming that you are being chased is usually a sign that you feel out of control or that some aspect of your life is out of control/not settled. Is anything stressing you out? Are you having a hard time figuring out the solution to a problem or getting through a hard time? That's most likely what is happening.

Is there something that you are trying to run from in life? Do you feel trapped in you dream? Sometimes you have those kind of dreams when you are having the same kind of feelings during the day.

Don't stress it. A big theme in many people's dreams is being chased by something- a monster, dogs, snakes, other people, etc.
