Noah was told specifically that God would destroy all flesh in a deluge. (Genesis 6:13, 17) Although Noah became "a preacher of righteousness," it was evidently difficult for people to believe that everything around them was going to end. (2 Peter 2:5) Only eight people heeded the warning and were saved. (1 Peter 3:20)
Also, it had never actually rained before so many probably laughed at him and thought that he was foolish to build such a large vessel on dry land. But as it turned out, they were the foolish ones for ignoring Noah's warnings and lost their lives. How thankful we are that Noah trusted in God and did all that was asked of him. May we always have faith like that of Noah.

As big as the arc had to be, I'm pretty sure Noah didn't build it close to anyone or anything. I am sure that he was ridiculed when others spotted the arc and he gave them an explanation. I bet there were also some doubters who said, "What if he isn't completely bonkers?" They weren't laughing any more when the flood came. It's a good lesson for non-believers. Those who ridicule Christians now won't be laughing when the Lord comes.

certain Christians do trust. Noah and his kinfolk were not the in ordinary words human beings on earth on the on the spot. even with gave you that concept? there have been a lot of persons to help construct an arc. It became because of the abject sin of others that God determined they had to flow. God got here across Noah and his kinfolk to be righteous. even as there's a lot symbolism contained in the Bible this became not such. Noah did not flow in the course of the international and round up 2 of each, God did this for him. With God all issues are available, yet then you truthfully do not position self belief in God. There aren't any aspects of the Bible that are lies, the position do you get such concepts? Yours seems a willful denial of God and scripture. this isn't fantastic, maximum atheists are such. i wish your interest includes you extra into the recognize God and also you come across a good bible study team.

Even one of Noah's own sons said he was completely nuts and refused to help or get on the ark. The neighbors were to busy partying to realize how much they had angered God...when Noah warned them they said "there isn't a cloud in the sky...come on and get drunk with us...let's go to the disco and watch some T.V." or "yeah right, God doesn't exist" or "God doesn't have the power to flood the whole earth" or "you're nuts man...come and listen to the latest CD and let's go to the mall in our SUV".

Guess what folks...Noah's warning is echoing in our own times.

You literally believe this old pagan myth is a true story, eh?

I hope one day you'll decide to do a little research into your beliefs. It is well known, even by Christian scholars, that this is a pagan story, and was only acquired by the Hebrews later on, and changed to be about the god of Abraham.

Christian scholars will tell you this was done because it's a nice parable. But that's not entirely true. It was never presented as such. And that's why people such as yourself still take it literally.

You have been lied to, friend. And even though you probably hate me for saying so, I'm here to help you understand this.

I don't know that it really mattered. When you know that you are doing something for the Lord you just do it. Words can hurt but they have no power over you unless you let them. I would be more interested in what they had to say when the rains fell and they were on the outside looking in. I bet that was a moment of a lifetime.

Considering Noah did not even live around water, they probably laughed at him, up until the time it stated raining !

Maybe it was, "Umm, what's rain?" Some verses in the Bible indicate that they had never seen rain. The earth was covered in some sort of dew, that supplied their crops with a way to live. So when it did start to rain, and the "fountains of the deep" came up, they had to have been terrified!

They thought he was NUTS!!!
Building this HUGE boat in the MIDDLE of the DESERT? Yeah, they gave him a really hard time for a year or a year & 1/2 (I forget which). But then, because of their sinful ways, they died.

Thus, the earliest example of "Blessed are they who are persecuted [for the sake of their religion/faith]"

Peace!
