First of Elizabeth's answer is correct. That we should obey the law of the land as long as it doesn't go against God's law.

In the Old Testament Polygomy was legal. In the New Testament I can't think of any place where it is specifically outlawed but Jesus does make reference when a man and woman marry they become one. I am pretty sure in the Greek that it is specific that one man and woman become one.

The OT permits polygamy, however it also places a boatload of extra responsibility on the man if he chooses to have more than one wife.

I believe the NT limits one to one spouse at a time.

In practice, amongst jews and christians of all stripes, polygamy is only still practiced by a very few jews living in Muslims lands and by a small number of mormons.

I can't be certain what scripture says, but "polygomy" is certainly wrong according to the rules of spelling and etymology.

According to scripture we should live according to the law of the land so the land does not vomit you up. Bad paraphrase. Sorry.

The Bible is repleat with laws according to God.

Christians who say otherwise are not living their scripture then.

I know it's pretty black and white but it's that simple according to christianity.

Well when you consider the old and new testament, it's seems there are times when God is okay with it, and times when he is not, but I agree with the girl that said that God wants us to obey the laws of the land, and in most lands it's illegal, so I think this is definitely a time when God is not okay with it.
