Depending on the child's weight. Normal dosage for that antibiotic should b 1 capsule at meal times or 3 times a day with a snack.

The doctor should know this. Some medications are based on weight others are standard dosage for age. Its what ever the doctor said it was. I don't think he would prescribe a dangerous or non therapeutic dose where its not effective against problem.

If you do not have a Dr. and are using leftover meds, please at least call a pharmacy, tell them you sent the bottle to grandma's with your child, and she came home without, and you have only what you reserved at home for her, tell them you need to know the dose. Then, at least you are getting a professionals opinion, rather than 1/2 of what a 24 year old recommends......

Depends on the type of infection that they have or how bad it is. I'd say 250. I'm 25 and when I've been prescribed this it's always been 500mg.
