How come guys can't be romantic more than a quarter of the time??? I mean it's one or the other with them!! they either look nice or Be romantic why can't guys be both?? I have never really understood that cause I mean I know some guys can be both but none of the ones I have EVER met!! Is it just me or are they really like that???? I am guessing they're really like that cause my friends bf's are that way too!! but why is it that they're like that??? Is it cause im dating jocks or is it just guys period?????

Some guys can be romantic all the time. But they are very hard to find. I mostly blame pride and the male ego. Romance requires that you give of yourself and make someone else the center of your world. Pride won't allow a man to give unless he is getting at least as much in return (and men are bad at math so it always seems like they are giving so much more than they are getting) and the ego won't allow a guy to admit that he isn't the center of the world.
Some guys have overcome the limitations of their pride and ego to an extent. But, as I've said, they are hard to find. And probably married :(

There are a few things at play here. Part of this is that women just don't like a man who adores them and would do anything for them. You probably know somebody who feels this way about you now, but you think he's a dork, or you just want to be friends, or whatever.
There is an image to consider. You clearly like this image, since you keep dating these types. Since you like a guy who is kinda tough, so you can't expect him to roll over and sit up and beg for you. And this guy has a whole other agenda when he is with his boys, and being whipped by you isn't on it. If he acted this way, you would lose interest--he'd be a better looking version of that dork you wish would quit following you!
Its a little sick and twisted, but its just the way it is. Find a guy who loves and cares about you, who you are attracted to, and who will still stand up for himself--even to you. When the two of you fight about something, if both of you avoid topics you are particularly sensitive or insecure about, you won't hurt each other too bad with your arguments, but you will still keep things interesting. Caring and comfort mostly come from forgiveness, so give it and expect it. Don't tolerate disrespect, but be willing to take a joke at your expense.

Yes jocks are the key right there. Most jocks are exactly that, jocks you like them because they are tough, cocky, and good looking. Unfortunately they aren't too romatic so you have to choose your own destininy. There are nice jocks out there by the way, but nice guys finish last (until a girl matures and realizes its nice guys who are strong, romantic, and will treat you right) You'll learn eventually...its true...ask any 30 yearold woman.

Yes there are guys who would be\ like to be romantic all the time but it all deppends on the surrounding and his Gf. You can't blame everything on guys... and yes every do have different nature ----- Romatic Guy ! Take Care live free die well

Try dating art guys, they're most likely to be the sensitive type. It sounds like you're chasing frat boys and jocks.

maybe cause good lokking guy just think they so good and forget about romance like have sex see ya tomorow but romantic guy s dont have there looks to get the girl so they r romantic

Some guys are just that way. It's up to us girls to teach them and show them how we want to be treated. If you want romance you have to let the guy know how to achieve it - I swear for the most part they're clueless!

I would say its the jocks, There most all thick headed and self centered. there more worried about impressing there friends or teammates than making their woman happy.

guys are seemingly less romantic because guys have different ideas as to what is romance. the biology is different. girls look for quality in a mate , guys look for quantity.
