Can certain religions evade some laws?
Would the government give funding to a newly-made religion?

FYI, I have not mentioned anywhere that i wanted to start a religion ! Im just curious !

I think for a religion to be officially recognised, it needs 15,000 members. Jedi is now an officially recognised religion. But no, nobody would fund it for you.

In the U.S., you are free to practice any religion you like, even if you are the only member of it. If you want some of the stuff that goes with religion, like the tax breaks they give to priests, or tax-exempt status for a building, you need to do a bit more. You have to have a congregation and regular meetings. The congregation has to have a certain size. And some other stuff. I'm not your paper boy! Look it up yourself!

1. Cults do not apply.
2. Religion is a personal thing. Each person has his or her own beliefs, and many do not fit mainstream. Religion also changes and develops within a person, just as relationships, you can fall in and out of religion. New religions do not evade laws, the Gov will not support you.

I think you need at least 30, and no, the government wouldn't give you funding, but religions are not held responsible to pay taxes. Honestly, it would probably be less of a hassle to start a club.

The United States government would not be allowed to fund any religion, new or old. That goes against the principles of separation of church and state.

I got a good religion for you.

and you can send your son to straighten out the mess that we humans have made of this place.
We can be spiritually blind for you, and we can kill the one that you send.
but I tell you what, you and satan can start your new religion,(that's who put such garbage into your head), and I will continue to serve and worship a loving and almighty god who has already cleared this mess up, for those who accept him. If I sound angry, I am not, I just passionately hope and pray that the scales are removed from your eyes in time.

you can just do it yourself.
NO - you cannot evade any laws - not in most countries anyway.
as for a government funding a religion, i would not want to in a place where the government does..
