Get an old shoe that the dog is obsessed with chewing on and spray vinegar on it. The dog will HATE the smell and will hate the tast even more. Also make sure that when you catch the dog in the act of chewing on the shoe to reprimand it at that moment. Take away the shoe and say NO, BAD DOG or something to that affect, and try REALLY REALLY hard to keep the shoes put up out of the way.
Make sure the dog has LOTS of other toys that she CAN chew up. Encourage her to play with these toys and let her know it's ok to chew them up, but NOT ok to chew up the shoes.

You might try a taste deterant, I use a spray called Apple Bitter. You can get it at any pet store. You basically have to catch them in the act, you spray this stuff in his/her mouth, then all over your shoes. It just tastes really bad to them, so the memory of the taste plus the smell of it on your other shoes should stop them from doing it again. If nothing else, I just keep my shoes where my 18 month old Rotti can't get to them.

Crate the dog when you're not at home. Keep shoes where dog can't get to them. Give the dog something better to chew on. And scold the dog if you catch him in the act.

Sprays will not work.
You have to establish dominance and show your dog you are the boss.
When you see the dog go near the shoes, physically get between him and the shoe and grab at his nieck with your hand like your had is biting him) and say "NO". He will learn fast that the shoes belong to you. Get Cesar Milans DVD... http://shop.nationalgeographic.com/product/1052/3056/1052.html

Put your shoes away! My dog is over a year and loves to eat everything...clothes, shoes, rugs, and books. But, he does it when no one is home, which is why I crate him.

no im just kidding, tell the dog NO! sternly, give her a smack on the butt, and dont leave your shoes lying around, or you'll have to keep the dog locked up in either a kennel or a room... good luck

Try using bitter apple spray and always make sure that your dog has something available to chew on. I like natural animal bones or a stuffed kong toy.

Make sure she has plenty of chew toys (none that resemble shoes or anything else you own that you don't want her to chew on). Also, get some training. If she does it while you are not home, crate-train her.

My little shoe chewers didn't stop until they were 3. They still take them now and again, but they don't chew them anymore. HIDE the shoes nothing will stop them.
