Try Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon - there are a lot of "ethnic" foods, and a great selection. She also wrote Eat Fat Lose Fat. Great books, combined with alternating aerobic exercise and strength training. They're available on Amazon.com and eBay. There's also a discussingnt yahoo group with a lot of great info - weight loss has been a hot topic lately.

If you're in India, you probably eat a lot of fried stuff and sweets. Cut them out! Completely!!
