That's a SCAM! Steer clear!
Here are a few ways you can pin-point that:
1) An animal being shipped without an owner WILL be stopped at customs. Crazed druggies could have shoved coke up its butt or something.
2) There is no method to ship from Nigeria to the U.S. in five or six hours without an immediate air-express delivery to your doorstep. This alone would cost waaayyy more than $400, especially for a live animal.
3) AKC does not have a yorkie teacup, so how can it be AKC registered? Also, the AKC stands for the "American Kennel Club."
Seriously, don't buy a dog without meeting it. Also, never wire transfer money to anyone in Africa unless you personally know them (and I don't mean email communication). For some reason, most of these scams are originating in Africa.

It's a very famous scam. Don't send any money. Break off all contact. And in future don't buy a dog by internet- go to a rescue centre or a reputable breeder.

PLEASE, don't do it!!!! This sounds very shady. You should never buy a dog off the Internet, because it could be a puppy miller. If you don't know what that is then I STRONGLY URGE you to search for "puppy mills" on the Internet and see what comes up. If this guy REALLY cared about his dog then he would want to meet the new owner face to face or hand it over to a no-kill rescue who can find it a good home. Also, don't listen to the guy above and go to a pet store. All the dogs there are for puppy mills also

Perhaps the women need to grow up and realise everything you would like to see as sexist is actually rational or partly - perhaps you arent mature enough to see from someone elses perspective. I wrote an essay - without making judgement - called "I know you hate women" It was based on research that shows that most men hate (rationally) women for good reason, not just feminism. It found that the majority of men who claim not to hate women are lying and a minority have the balls to admit it. The difference is that almost all women hate men in general but almost none can admit it. It is unfortunate that people arent brave enough to be honest in whatever form of communication - perhaps you dont realise that the yahoo answers is simply an honest rational representation of people in general and simply men are too polite to let you know in person - think about it - when should they do that? On the street? At work? - they'd be fired. Where else is there the opportunity. The better question would be - "why are you assuming "sexist" equals some personal bitterness and hate rather than just an honest experiential view of life?" this clearly doesnt occur to women - who must be so blinkered in life that they easily and arrogantly can ignore the achievements of all men - which is all science, art, technology, music, literature, discovery, invention and all great physical accomplishments - the more disturbing question should only be - how can women not be more modest in the face of this evidence and dare to draw attention to it with calls of sexism - shouldnt you rather keep quiet and hope future generations brought up in the mind control of PC simply dont notices women's total lack of contribution given equal opportunities for all time to all civilisation? The atrocities of feminism i.e. crushing men, causing suicide and depression and self-destruction - taking their jobs - is causing men not to be sexist - ( something you think is evil and wrong and ego -based (because for you it is) ) but to point out some facts of life that you'd do better to not want attention drawing to. Women have everything their own way like spoilt children - if you havent a mental illness - why are you still complaining?

I know you are probably excited about all this, but this is just a letter from the seller. Make sure that the letter is notarized and sent to you before you make a payment. People can say anything and sound really sincere, but if you have a notarized letter, it becomes a legal document, where if something goes wrong and the pet is not up to date with the shots or not trained or anything, then you can do something about it with the courts. If not, you are on your own and if something goes wrong, there is nothing you can do and you will lose your money. Plus, you can make the payment and never get the pet. I would never buy a pet online or anything else from an Individual who can easily move and never be heard of again. There is no guarantee to anything. Also, if they are always moving, you might not find them again to face them if something goes wrong. It is always best to buy a pet at the pet store where you can find the owner if something goes wrong. Don't get me wrong, I love all animals, but I am just concerned about you not being taken advantage of. I work in the legal field and I always learn about protecting myself when buying anything from any individual. Well, good luck.

SCAM- why would you buy a dog from there?? You actually need a lot of document from Nigera and from the USA to allow an animal to come from another country. NO ANIMAL is allowed out of Nigera at this time due to diease! I wanted to bring a Dog back from DR but it would take weeks to get it approved by the US goverment- and it had to be a pure bred dogs with papers and all the shots...ect... ect...
It's actually very hard to buy or take your dog to a different country- lots of people actually give up there animals due to this reason. Stay away from this guy and look for a dog on the yahoo animal page!

Nope!!!! This is a SCAM!!!! You can send them money, but you will not ever see a dog. Don't do it!!!!!!!!!
I am a breeder. I also sell pups on the internet. Not all people on the net are scammers. I am not. I have sold many pups to people around the country and have references. So don't believe that everyone on the net is out to scam you. But anyone in Africa, England, Scotland, and the like, is likely a scammer.

Don't do it! Go to a breeder or a Rescue center. He is scamming you. You can give a good home to a wonderful dog in your area. There can be trouble buying a dog you can see, never send people money and trust there word. There is probably no dog at all.

This is a scam. I wouldn't trust anything like this. Don't know how he can get around the quarentine period. Just doesn't sound right to me. Did you check out the AKC to see if the dog IS actually registered. Have you seen any pictures of the dog? Why can't he find someone where he is to take care of her.
Just seems like a lot of money and trouble for a dog. You could find one here cheaper. Further more, why is there no mention of an exchange rate for the $400? They don't deal in U.S. currency in Nigeria!
Have a great day!!!

I am also telling you that for one of my dogs to be sent to Hawaii on it's own with out a person it was going to cost me $900!! That's just from Colorado to Hawaii!! I am promising you this is a scam!! It would take longer than that to get the dog to you!! & with all international flights there IS Quarantine!!
