There's a terrific book out that deals with precisely this topic (and other related issues) -- entitled, "Every Man's Battle." Basically, you train yourself to "bounce" your gaze away from women that you would otherwise "lust" after. In addition, it would be a terrific help to have an accountability partner, and of course by staying involved in church and in your own Bible reading.

I'm going to tell you a little story.
When I was in high school, I was a good little Christian girl who went to Bible Club. We talked about temptation. One of the boys talked about how his youth pastor suggested physical exercise whenever the boys there "looked at a girl in the wrong way."
So the guys decided that if they had that happen in the hallway, they would do push-ups right then and there to get their minds off of the temptation.
We Bible Club girls giggled whenever we saw it. One who couldn't keep a secret finally explained to a non-Bible Club member what the guys were doing, and why.
It became a joke in my school. Girls would talk about "making guys do push-ups." It even became kind of a status thing to be the one making the Bible Club boys do push-ups. Eventually, they stopped the push-ups. The temptations didn't stop at all.
I'm just saying, whatever you do, please don't make a big thing out of it or beat yourself up over it.

I think you need to get over yourself. It is a normal human response for a male to be attracted to a female. Trying to suppress your natural urges is just plain stupid. The same section of the Bible you are referring to also tells you to cut off your hand if it commits a sin, or pluck out your eyes for the same reason. I'm guessing most Christians just ignore that part of the Bible, because you don't tend to see many one handed Christians in church, and I'm sure some of them have sinned.

Hey - you don't have to be a Christian to answer this question !
We all have feelings and if you are straight - then obviously you will look at some lustfully - No body can deny that even if they condition their minds to do so... If so I really have to think that they are inclined the other way - meaning they would be attracted to guys - which is not wrong either - I mean - it is your sexuality and that is how you are born - not what happens after wards

It is difficult, but you must learn to be a gentleman first. In so doing, you avoid coming off as a leering gnome! Treat her with respect and your ability to control your lusts will follow.

I remember that eternity in heaven is more important than a momentary thrill on earth.
Matthew 19:12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
