Why do Athiest's constantly attack Christians?

You say, we are the problem, well , we didnt fly planes into the world trade center, but you are afraid to say anything about the Muslims, Why? afraid you will get a bomb on your doorstep? or your head cut off like Nick Berg?

How can a Christian be so consumed with hatred toward Muslims and still think of himself as a Christian?

Very characteristic of a Christian ignore the evidence and attack, attack, attack. If you looked around on here a bit you will see that most of the people who have a problem with Christianity also have a problem with Islam and all organized religions.

If you see it skewed a bit towards questioning Christians -I would guess that it is because most of the folks are from the US and they have more first hand experience with the intolerance and bigotry of Christians for the simple fact that it is a majority Christian country. If there were more Muslims in America than we would have more experience with their own delightful breed of intolerance and bigotry. The problem is not a Christian/Muslim one but an organized religion/humanity one.

I know that you hate logic and reasonableness, so why even ask the question? I know in the end you will probably just say something like the "devil makes them do it."

HA HA HA HA - even as I was posting that -the "devil" comments started coming out. Do you really think I am sitting here at my computer talking to the devil and he is telling me to write this? Silly asses...

I do have to hand it to your religion - you guys have a built in excuse for everything, Christianity defies logic -it's the devil, didn't get that promotion at work -it's the devil, putting on weight -it's the devil.

The world is what WE make it - The human condition is what WE made it - The future of the world and the fate of humanity is in OUR hands. No devil, no god (at least no Jesus/Allah/Odin), just humanity and a responsibility to each other to reach our social/technological potential.

Christians, Muslims, & Organized religion as a whole are destroying the world. There is no one right and one wrong! There is only us -and we are to applaud/appreciate our own successes and must take responsibility for our own failures. The devil didn't make you do any bad **** and God shouldn't get the credit for your hard work....

Recently, I was offered the chance by a few Muslims to ask questions about their religion so I took the opportunity to educate myself and asked them 2-3 questions that I had wondered about, but never really bothered to ask. They were very well-mannered, respectful, intelligently answered. In fact, they were probably some of the nicest people to ever email me. They offered to tell me more IF I was interested... or answer any other questions I may have. Now, please note the difference. IF you are interested... I will tell you more, otherwise I'll leave you alone. You try getting Christians to stop sending me (an atheist) emails full of bible verses. On the other hand, I've had good dealings with a number of Christians in my life. However, Southpaw said it best, it's the extremists and fundamentalists that cause the real difficulties, not the passive worshippers.

Why do Christians constantly attack everyone else? Because they aren't Christians, they are fundamentalist or extremist. It wasn't Muslims that flew planes in World Trade Center, It was extremist. Muslims don't get on here and quote the Koran.

First, you are rude. Secondly though, Athiests attack Christians for the same reasons Christians attack Athiests-- they are ignorant of facts and feel that they are right and everyone else is wrong.

But then again, that is like all religions-- everyone feels their religion is the "RIGHT" religion and all others are wrong.

Fact of life- we must accept ALL people no matter what religions. And I do not speak out against Muslims because it was not the Muslim faith that bombed the Twin Towers-- it was individuals who have perverted their religion, just like alot of the bigotted loudmouth religious leaders who have perverted the words of the Bible and other religious books to get it to mean what they WANT it to mean, not what it actually was written to mean. I do not blame the Germans for what happened to the Jews, because it was brainwashing and perversions of fact that caused that, by the hands of a few nut cases, not by the German people.

Compassion, understanding and education is the only thing to prevent this behavior.

Well, let's not generalize now. I'm a Christian, and I hear about how loud mouthed, rightous and arrogant we are, but yet, I have only met a couple. It's the same with Athiests. I've only met one that openly expressed he was an Athiest, but I'm sure not all attack Christians or other religions. I'm sure that there are some that do, but not all. Everyone is their own person, and it's the person, not the religion or belief, that can cause a person to be arrogant, rightous, or forceful.

Get a clue.Those Islamic fundamentalists are more religious that materialistic American Christians will ever be. Us realistic freethinker types denounce Muslim just as much as the nutty "western" religion.

such dependence on bashing anyone who is not afraid to admit that not only scientific evidence,but human psychological evidence as well,points to superstition as the most severe form of abnormal psychology? Isnt there at least SOMETHING to be said

Do atheists constantly attack Christians? That might be the question to ask before asking "why." It is necessary to establish that a condition or situation actually exists before inquiring into the reasons for it or causation of it.

Here's an example: You have written "Atheist's." We can observe that. It is verifiable. Having established that that situation exists we can move on to asking "Why did you put an apostrophe before the 's" in 'Atheist's?" Is it a possessive? Is it a contraction of "Athiest is," or "Atheist has?"

It's the other way around more often! You try to force your groundless beliefs upon everyone. My sister is one of you, and I get that from her. She insults me when I say something that questions her ignorant beliefs. Oh, but you say you are allowed to attack anyone who doesn't agree with you, and if he retaliates, he is attacking you. Your stupid double standard isn't allowed! Who is it that puts his deity's name on all of our money and in the Pledge of Allegiance? I fight against such tyranny. I'm not afraid to say things about Moslems, if they do anything to me, but I see few of them, so they aren't constantly annoying me the way ever present Christians are. They love to talk about how Christians murdered 1000's during the crusades of 1212 AD...and say nothing of the atheist murderers of just the past 100 years such as: Stalin who murdered 70 million, or chairman Mao who murdered 200 million of Pol who murdered 1-3 million many because of their religion...these are their ancestors they want us all to for get about. This is odd......Christians see atheists as intolerant and bigoted.
Atheists see Christians in the same light.
I am Christian...we are told to love our enemies, bless those who curse us, and pray for those who abuse us.
And that does NOT mean that we should pray for them to walk in front of a freight train.
