When walking across a field along a public footpath, the owner of that land recently put 12-15 young bulls there which behave very defiantly/ potentially aggressive when walking across this field (well, we stopped going there now). They circle us in, run around, move erratically, get into groups etc; not an easy feeling when walking your dog in the evening or going jogging. We heard that bulls can be quite dangerous. Is this a myth?

Use common sense here, If one ran into you, would it hurt? If they stepped on your foot. What do you think. My main question, is it a public footpath, or is it private property. For it to be owned by an individual implies that it is private property and for an owner to put bulls on it, it would have to be fenced in, which then wouldn't be easiy accessed by the public.

This is not a myth, its true. They would more than likely go for your dog and you would be in the way. Look Out!

When i lived in Hong Kong a chinese farmer showed me how they castrated young bulls in rural areas, he showed me, he got two bricks and said "You stand behind the young bull, get a brick either side of its testicles, then... SMACK! bring the bricks together sharply". Wincing, i said to him "surely that must be pretty painful?"

"Only if you catch your thumbs" he replied......... sorry, couldnt resist it my friend.

They were planning to walk-jack you. They were only in the planning stage. You did stop just in time.
