Wow, that is a good plan. But the question is...are you just starting out? And what are your goals? If you are just starting out and your goal is to get fit and lose weight, then it sounds like too much to begin with. If these are your goals, I suggest the following:

1) 30 minutes per day of cardio - walking mainly; exercise walking...not "shopping the mall" walking. After your walk, then do a set of 10 crunches, moving up to 2 sets of 10 in a months time.
2) Do this for a month. Then integrate the weight traning, and start out slow and light. Use like the 5 lbs bar to begin, moving up to the 10 lb. bar in about a month.

But honestly, I cannot truly say what will be good for or not. I can only guess with that you have given. The best rule of thumb when beginning a lifestyle change like this, integrate is slowly and learn how to do it properly to get a more effective workout...or you are defeating yourelf in the long run. You will most likely not want to stick with it if it is too long, too strenuous, and you are not seeing results. May I suugest a book? The Abs Diet. Awesome pointers in there even for women.

You're pushing your cardio too far. 30-60 minutes a day is enough. You're not doing any real weight training. In order to build muscle, and you do need to actually BUILD muscle to get more toned and raise your total metabolism (which helps you burn more calories 24/7).

You should be doing strength training exercises for all your major muscle groups, and if you have time, the smaller ones. At least one exercise each for your chest, back, triceps and biceps (the last two are your arms), plus a couple of good leg exercises, and 3 different core exercises that work your abs, your obliques and your lower back. Lunges are the best exercise for your legs and butt if you only do one exercise, but you certainly can add more.

Each exercise should be worked in sets of 10 reps. Ideally you quickly work up to 3 sets of 10, and the last set should be nearly impossible to do and leave you quite exhausted. They call that working "to failure."

A good trainer or even a book on weight training will give you more detail and specifics.

If you aren't doing that, your not building muscle and you will add little tone. Overdoing the cardio is going to burn lots of calories, but without the muscle, you'll lose lean tissue as well as fat.

In many respects, at least for weight and figure control, weight training is the better exercise. Cardio is awesome for your heart and lungs, and both weights and cardio burn calories equally well. But weight training is how you sculpt and shape your body.

Most women CANNOT get big and bulky, and as long as you aren't taking steroids and still do 30 mins of cardio at least 5 times a week, you're not going to get bigger, only smaller and tighter.

From what I've read, you could get by with less time doing cardio but add in some weights. Consistency is what gets results. I do 30 minutes cardio and 30 minutes weight lifting 3 times a week and I can see results --- its been about 6 weeks now. I don't weigh any less, though - but they keep telling me muscle weighs more than fat. My clothes sure feel better as well as just feeling better in general - more energy, and ambition !! Good luck!

dear exercise hopeful,
This would depend on your intimate goal. If you wish is to be in great shape, this would be close to the tip of the iceberg.
Diet, that is proper diet would be helpful. There are countless books and so called experts. A competent nutritionist would be a great place to start.
An easy second step would be to join a highly competent health club. Follow the trainers advice, and take at least a months worth of lessons. One needs to become devoted to diet and exercise. After about a year, the results will be quite remarkable.

WHAT KIND OF CARDIO?? If it is good quality like walking, swimming or running, that's great.
WHAT KIND OF ARMS?? Don't forget to include exercises that work the back and chest muscles, especially the pectorals.

I suggest you SLOWLY increase your crunches maybe up to 100. Of course, by the time you get to 100 you will be so hot, none of the guys will leave you alone...

You do not need to do all that crap. Go to the video store and rent a tape. It's called Pilates. It is a form of excerzise that you can do without tons of sweating and it has the best benefits. I lost 30 pds and tone up. I only did it 4 times a week 20 minutes aday. Good luck

try alternating days with your exercises like for example cardio on mon and wed and crunches on tues and thurs along with using weights or going for a walk

if you do the same exercises every day theres going to come a day when your body learns your routine and will learn to resist it , therefore your results will decrease.

Just make sure you have rest days... at least two at that intensity. Get your resting heart rate before you get out of bed. If it's too high... like over 60 bpm then you might need more rest days. Otherwise it's great and you will see results.
