It hides from me. I looked in the fridge a million times this morning, it wasnt there I swear!!! I looked everywhere. I asked my mom where it was and she said it was in the fridge, then she just pulled it out. Why does the syrup excape!?

I can think of 2 possibilities.
1) Sneaky syrup. If the syrup is from a sneaky tree, say a sly cypress or a shady sassafras, it tends to play tricks on the young. It'll hide when it hears the pitter-patter of young feet. It's afraid of adults, so when your mom comes, it quits playing games and behaves sweetly, as proper syrup should. Try this: Stomp more as you approach the fridge, and you might fool it into believing you're your mom.
2) You have fridge gnomes. Fridge gnomes like the cold, and they've been known to sample orange juice, lick butter and sip syrup. They also like to play tricks, like rearranging stuff in the fridge. Like the sneaky syrup, they're harmless. They're also very tidy, so lots of folks like to keep them around.

LOL. That can be so frustrating. I hate it when that happens.
The best place to hide something is right in front of someone's face. Why? Chances are it will be overlooked during the frantic search. I've done that to myself, misplaced items only to find much later it was where I was looking all along, well hidden. The mind is a funny thing.

Here's how you find it: Pile your hot cakes on your plate, go to the refrigerator ( with your plate of hot cakes in hand ), open the door and hold the plate just inside the opened door. Trust me, the hot cakes will be so thirsty for the syrup that they'll reach inside and snatch it for ya. And who knows? They might even help you with the butter!

You're subconsciously hiding the syrup from yourself because you think you might be getting fat.
