No soft water is not bad for dogs. Softeners remove iron from your water and then rinse the iron in the softener with a brine solution, salt water, to remove the iron from your softener. Small traces of salt might remain but that is not an issue. Not enough to have you or your pet. And I have never heard of a dog having an Iron deficiency

could be as salt is used to replace the hard water minerals in the softening process

It is distilled water which is not good for anybody. We get a lot of minerals from water.

usually if u have to think if itz bad or not, then it prolly is.
