I really wonder who are the people who go in for abortion- do they come from outer space or they dont come on YA at all!!! everyday thousands of abortions are done in christian societies ( they happen in other societies too - so dont jump the gun pointing that out) who appear so much against abortion- thats an irony

Of course Abortion is Wrong cause
any kind of killing is wrong except
for killing to survive. The only time
abortion be right is if giving birth
causes the mother to die. You don't
want the child to live without a mother.
85% Christians are against Abortions
in Canada or you Can say 15% of
Canadian Christians say abortions is
an acceptable practice when necessary
... it's up to the Parent to know when
that's necessary!
I take the view all Abortions are
wrong if there is no danger of the
mother dieing from giving birth!
(oh speller nit pickers dying is
the colour spelling for when
dying cloth!) Abortion is one of
the 7 unforgiveable sins.
Insulting #1, Lieing about the
Holy Scriptures #2, Denial of God #3,
Invading Privacy #4, Adultery #5,
Denial of thine own spirit #6,
Abortion #7
oh those that say abortion is
acceptable practice say that
dishonour thy parents while
growing up is the 7th sin.
Some faiths or beliefs have it
in a different order! Devils
and demons like to twist things
around.. which is wrong! They
will get there punishment when
God decrees it!

Yes, abortion is wrong by christian beliefs.
I assume your percentage figure of 85% is fairly accurate. However, in truth, the 85% would have to be those that PROFESS to be christians. There is a huge difference between, those that profess to be christians and trhose who are really christians.
There is no jusification for the sin of abortion, and there is no justification for any sin that may have been the reason for an abortion. Even if the woman was not at fault in the original sin.
Of course we depend on our law and justice system to help protect us. But our societies are not perfect. We have to work to build and strengthen strong ethical, Godly societies and communities.
It's extremely difficult for us to depend on God for vengence. But that's what we are to do.
God Bless you

As a vast general yes. The bible commands one not to murder. The bible also claims God knows people before they were born and that followers of God should stand up for the weak and oppressed. It is pretty obvious to me.
I am sure there are some out there that call themselves Christians that do not believe abortion is wrong. In some sense I believe they are rationalizing their behavior, but then again it is only natural in societies where freedom of thought is permitted to have some measure of variance.
Personally I believe in the vast majority of cases, excepting when it is to save the life of the mother, that abortion is murder. I also do not claim to be a Christian and advocate being spiritually independent by figuring out the answers for oneself. This is accomplished through a logical and honest thought process, experiencing life, as well as incorporating within yourself the virtuous aspects of the different religious and philosophical systems you run across.
If you are still wanting to know about Christianity and Abortion I have provided a link bellow in which the general site is devoted to diversity within the Pro-Life movement.

yes it is concidered wrong by most christians that actually try to live their lives in obediance to God, but then so is premarrital sex which is the reason most abbortions take place anyway. I know that there are other reasons for abbortions including rape and endangering the mothers life and while I believe that i would try my best to carry the baby in those situations, i would not put judgment on someone that chose not to. I would just pray that they would make the best descision for them and there family and because God wants only the best for His people, His will for ones life is definetly going to be the best even if it doesnt seem like it at the time.

Its horribly wrong, and I can't believe in this country with all the advances of birth control people still get pregnant and then have abortions. Abortion is insanity. With the mother permission they kill a baby INSIDE the womb. WHaT is happening to our reasoning. This is crazy, what even crazier is embryonic stem cell research, especially since there is placenta stem cells where there is proof it cure cancer, paralization, sickle cell, brain palsy and other diseases, not only for the baby, but for mom, and 50% chance for the siblings.

Abortion is not murder - a fetus is not considered a human life.
Exodus 21:22-23
If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life.
The Bible places no value on fetuses or infants less than one month old.
Leviticus 27:6
And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver.
Numbers 3:15-16
Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them. And Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD.

abortion is about 10 times higher in more secular places like the former soviet union
it depends what you mean... a tubal abortion both mother and child would likely die... and most Christians would not have a problem with that so in some respects it depends on the case.
In general most Christians however have serious concience problems with abortion and abortion was spoken against by the early church today the problem is many people are christian in name only, cultural christians not necessarily actuall
I think most abortions are wrong

yes abortion is wrong because one of Gods commandments say thou shall not kill. In Jer1:5 gods says i knew you before you were in your moms womb, i had plans and a purpose for you. To me that means you just aborted one of God's purposes, you just killed a child that should have been a prophet to nations, that child could have been the child called to stop some of those generational curses that has been passed down from generation to generation, or called to deliver family members, and friends out of bondage.

"Thou shalt not murder" (Commandment # 5). Start with that.
Christians (generally) believe that God grants life, and He alone infuses the body with the soul. This happes at conception, the very moment when the sperm and egg meet. Thus, there is a life, deserving of all the rights of life.
When a person murders a life, that breaks a commandment of God. This is very simple.
