First of all I am not forcing him to potty train. He wants to go on the bog biy potty all the time. He actually has a pretty good aim at it too. But he doesn't always tell me when he has to go. He will tell me after he does his job that he went potty. Just wondering if anyone has got some good ideas about helping the whole potty training move along smoothly (if that is at all possible).

try accompanying him to the toilet and everytime he wants to go to the toilet he has to tell you and when he does that he gets a star for everytime he tells you
when he gets 50 stars you bring him to the toy shop and buy a present
presents always work
my parents tried that with me when i was young
worked fine

he's getting the right idea
try putting him on the toilet about the time for him to go
ask him constantly if he needs to potty
and reward him when he does it right
when he messes himself tell him that he didn't
tell mommy
p.s. get him a little step so that his aim will be better
if you're o.k. with it...let him go when dad goes to potty
that works good

You need to let him know that big boys tell thier mommies when they need to do business and it may help if you make it fun. Try putting cherios in the toilet and have him be a fighter jet and take down the cherios.

you can make potty training a game...
get yourself a couple of cheerios (the UNSINKABLE O's)
and put them in the toilet bowl.....
it's great for practicing the aim... and the child will ask you BEFORE he pees on himself or even by himself, to play the new potty game...
worked for my boy!!!
made it so easy and very quick too!!
(bout a months worth = to 1 15oz box of cheerios!)
