Rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints ( the sinners are much more fun ).... Everyone has both good and bad, spiritually and otherwise... I guess you would have to define "good"... Is the guy that works hard at a menial job to support his family, and has a few beers or a joint on the weekend necessarily bad ??? How about the guy that makes a fortune, but never has time for his family ??? I think a good idea is to look after your own affairs and make sure you fit your own definition of "good" before making decisions about other peoples "goodness" or "badness"... Be an example, not an examiner.....

People get lost. Sometimes defining good and bad is not as simple as it seems. Sometimes one has serious doubt in what they've been taught all their lives and end up in a spiritual crisis. Often one figures if I'm not doing everything right, I might as well not do anything at all. Faith is a very difficult thing to maintain when you are trying to live in the everyday world and you have encounters/experiences that contradict your beliefs. And then the question is, where they your beliefs to begin with? Every single one of us is doctrinated in one way or another by our environments- the social rules which become our conscious when we do 'wrong'. When there is no coordination between the messages of your body, your heart, your mind, and the society within which you were conceived then the 'spiritual good' does not always win in the end.

This is a complex question.

The answer is even more complex. I do not presume to have what you are looking for.

The physical body inherits a genetic map from the parents. It is also influenced by the environmental characteristics in which it lives.

A "soul" inhabits a physical body when it is conceived.

The soul that inhabits the physical body is there mostly to experience what occurs to the physical body while it exists
in the material world.

The soul does influence the responses the physical body
makes to events the physical body experiences but does
not dictate them.

This is all a learning experience.

And these few words do not in any way describe all that is
happening during the soul/body experience.

Perhaps this might be a better place to seeks some answers
to your question. http://www.cambridge.org/catalogue/catalogue.asp?isbn=0521001897

Because people have different points of view, Not everyone believes that by going to a church once or twice a week and giving money to a child molesting priest is going to save our souls. What you consider a bad way is just a different way of living and viewing the world around us. Most of want world peace and for us all to get along. Religion and spirituality has been one of the major reason for all the wars around us. So, you tell me has being spiritual been a good thing or a bad thing?

You ask the "good" people a question about the "bad" people. I think it would be a little difficult for those of us who chose the right path to know why others chose the wrong path. We are not mind readers. We can only guess. Perhaps the path of evil is wide and easily traveled - there are no steep hills to climb and rivers to cross (symbolically, of course). It's easier to bow to peer pressure than it is to stand up on your own and be different. It's more fun to go out drinking with friends than it is to get up bright and early Sunday morning and go to church. Who knows?

'Cause the gate to evil is broad and the path easy, the gate to good is narrow and the path is hard'. How simple and yet how self explaining are these words of Jesus. We hear, read and see evil in our day to day life. Jelousy, scandal, war, killing, people ready to do anything for material gain. Its all around us (door is wide open) follow that and you're comfortable among men. Follow the rules of the holy book, u're sure to find yourself taunted and laughed at. So naturally many take the easy wayout?

Well what's good for you does not mean it is good for someone else. My spirituality may differ from yours but it does not mean that it is a bad spirituality. I may just believe something other than you do. You didn't ask why some people just go bad you asked why they go bad spiritually. I started to say that some people just go bad but I don't think that people go bad spiritually because like I said there spirituality may take a different course than yours. I know lots of people who are good honest people but they don't go to church or worship a god.

The LORD tells us( not all,) will recieve his word. some were born on this earth, to be forever bad ..JESUS CALLED US HIS LITTLE FLOCK. HE had many followers in the begining, but when only the 12 were left he said will you also go away? so not very many will keep the FAITH and hang on till the end,, so they will go back to where they were in the begining(LOST). But it is better to have never known THE LORD than to turn back..

People can go down the wrong paths for many reasons. they can beempted by the devil and it can be they refused to listen to their parents and made bad choices. There is the freedom of choice that God gives to us all. Why people choose other paths I do not know and I will not judge. I will preay for them to find the right path.

That would be about personal judgment. I am sure people aren't making the choice to choose a spiritual practice they think is wrong. It may be that you are labeling their choices wrong. Allow people to live and believe as they choose, just as you would like this same respect.
