Because they just don't see it that way. One in a million girls actually comes to fall in love with their guy friends, but for all the rest you may as well be gay. It's the way of the world. If you want a girl to be yours, don't be her friend. You are better off ignoring her.

Cheers :)

Because you're there for her. You help her move. You listen to her when she needs to speak to someone. You drive her around. You probably spend a good deal of money on her. And as long as she keeps you as her friend you'll allways be there for her. Do you really think you have enough between your thighs to make the risk of loosing all that worthwhile to her?
You need to decide if you want to be her friend or try to be her boy. Tell her you love her and you can't stand around watching her date loosers and jackhats. That you're leaving. And you have to stick to your guns when you do. If there was ever any chance between you both she'll follow.

Because you're a "friend" and they "value your friendship so much they don't want to risk it". Seriously, if you are interested in a girl, you should be upfront and direct about it, and if they "just want to be friends", start dating other girls.

If it is meant to be, it will happen.
