AHA guidlines for CPR are:
Defib 1 time with AED (old 3 times)
30 Chest compressions to 2 rescue breaths
For CPR class this is correct. In the "real world" counting does not matter as much. You do a lot of compressions, give a couple breaths, and do a bunch more compressions.

Yesw since I teach it, I know it, but don't worry- they all make sense and work. It is better to learn it in context than to just read the list.
However, the list includes:
- CPR is now 30 compressions and 2 breaths for all ages.
- All compressions are delivered at a rate of 100 per minute. You'll do 5 cycles in 2 minutes.
- Checking for 'signs of life' takes 10 seconds, whether checking for a pulse or not.
- We do things for 2 minutes now instead of 1. 2 minutes between checking for signs of life, etc.
- Adults who go down are assumed to need CPR. We check for signs of life, then begin CPR, no wasting time with pulse (children and infants are assumed to just need breathing so we do that first, then check pulse)
- Simplified hand position is 'center of chest'
- Conscious choking now involves 5 back blows rotated with 5 abdominal thrusts
There are some changes in the first aid section as well.

In a nutshell, all adult CPR is 30 respirations to 2 breaths. (Whether it is one or two person). There is also a change with the AED. Now, rather than administering a shock and continuting CPR, it will now deliever three consecutive shocks and then CPR is expected to be resumed for two minutes afterwards, even if there is a pulse.
