Try applying coconut oil to the scars - this has reduced the appearance of scarring on me quite drastically. Mine aren't from psoriasis, but I burned myself quite badly at one point,a nd the scar is almost nonexistent at this point. Try eating a tbsp or two a day of coconut oil per day too - it's fabulously moisturising. Just put a dollop of it into a cup of hot water, or into coffee or tea - it's very clear, almsot like water when it's hot. A good quality coconut oil is Omega Nutrition, avaialbe in many health food stores or at Loblaws for $8.99. Wait till you feel how soft your skin is after eating it! I rarely mositurise anymore at all.

I was diagnosed with psoriasis at age 14 and now I am 36 years old. You can say that I have tried just about every medicine both approved by FDA and trial without much success. Examples include Enbrel, Humira, oral meds, creams, oils, salts, coal tar, etc and the list is much more extensive that I can't even remember all of the names. But recently after someone shared this video https://tr.im/Treatmentspsoriasis2015ssQz everything has changed. My psoriasis completely cleared by putting these changes in place. I only wish I'd taken photos of before and after because it truly has been miraculous. I am getting married in Oct, 2015 and I am wearing a strapless gown that also shows my back and I am confident (not like before) that my skin will be soft and pretty vs red and flakey.

sunlight is supposed to be a good source for controlling psoriasis. the white patches you see may just be , probably is, leftover psoriasis. try hydrocortizone cream for what's left. try tanning boothes in the winter, but don't overdo it. the tendency for psoriasis may also be linked to the tendency to skin cancer. both seem to be related to the body's tendency to have rapid growth of skin cells. it does seem odd that the ultraviolet rays can cause skin cancer, and cure psoriasis, dosn't it.

I have that psoriasis and I tried skin zinc. Costs like $40 or $30 dollars. It faded them red spots down some. But I doubt my skin likes the witch hazel in it. Try that instead of scratching.

Psoriasis is a phychosomatic disease that occurs among "perfectionists".Apart from any medical treatment which may work to give a remission, please try to change your attitudes, interests, hobbies, games, food, and cultivate to accept reality as it exists. If you become a totally different person psoriasis causes less trouble.

Do you apply tanning cream before you tan yourself on the scorching sun? Remember too much UV rays may be a risk and my biology teacher say you may get skin cancer.
