Ive been dating the guy (lets call him Victor) Im with for a year and a half. I have been speaking with a guy (lets call him Greg) I met 3 years back that I had feelings for and we are now really good friends now. Yesterday Greg and I hung out and well all those feelings came back. Nothing happened between us though, I refuse to cheat on the people I am with. But all I can think about is Greg. I dont know if this is normal or not? Or if I should break up with Victor because he hasnt been on my mind at all since I saw Greg the other day? What should I do?

Wait and see because you could be temporarily infatuated with Greg. Spend more time with Victor and see if there's still the spark with your relationship. Remember you might chuck Victor only to find that Greg doesn't want you...where will that leave you? Do spend some more time with Victor, give him a good chance and stay away from Greg.

Take a look at the big picture....would you be devistated in two weeks, two months or even two years when you realize you have lost Victor? Is what you guys have had for the past 1 1/2 years not special enough to keep going and building more memories? I understand that Greg is fresh on your mind, and maybe he is the one for you, but it could just be that since you hung out recently you have Greg on the brain. In my opinion it's normal to have other things, events & people on your mind when they have happened recently. I don't think that that means you should go and dump Victor, though. Think about who you'd be happier with and who has more potential, etc. Good luck. And don't forget, you can't be going out and dating or hooking up with Greg while you decide all this. It isn't fair to anyone.

Now would be too soon to make a decision about ending your relationship over greg. Give it more time. Continue to see greg as your friend and see how your feelings develope. Sometimes it may not be that your more in love with greg but it may be the that you and him have a different type of relationship to the one you have with your boy friend. You have to remember they are to totally different persons. You also need to look at how your boy friend treats you and if your happy in that relationship. If after you give it some time you realise that you are not happy in your relationship and you think greg is the guy for you then by all means then do what you have too.

Well since you are not cheating on your current partner, you can give yourself some more time to be sure. it could just be temporary. You are certainly not ready for either one. So why do you need to commit yourself?
