O.k first you fill in forms about your name/address etc and your G.C.S.Es.
Then you stand in a line to see loads of different people (most of which will be your teachers) who will ask you questions and fill in a couple of more forms, (health and safety etc.)
Finally you get your photo taken for your student ID card/records (if your college uses them) and you pay your fees (if your a mature student, of course if you've just come from secondary you don't pay for anything at this point.)

It's nothing to worry about, I spent most of my enrolement day being bored.
Have fun at college!

My son went last thursday, he was told to go between 3 -4, he went a little early, but they saw him almost immediately. He had to collect his file from a desk. Then he had to hand in the file and photos to a tutor at a table. They attached one photo to the file and enclosed the others in the file, and kept the file. He saw a tutor, they checked his grades, had a chat about what would happen the first day. Then he had to pay his fees (all colleges don't charge) he didn't require the buses so missed that part, which had a very long line.
He was out within half an hour.

Go early. You meet different people/tutors to check your results and the course availability, chat to you to ensure that you are on the right course. It can take a long time (half a day to all day, hence arrive early so you can get out in a few hours!). You also need to go to admin to pay/sign up officially.

Ensure you have any enrollment fees with you, your exam results slip, bring a drink, maybe some snacks. If you are going in with kids, ensure you have pacifiers for them - games, drinks, food, pen and paper, tissues etc.

Good luck.

You go in, fill out some forms, register your exam results, have a chat with the tutors if you need/want to, deal with any other bits, and then you'll be given dates & times when you next need to go in for enrollment.

You wait here a long time, then you wait there a long time and you aren't sure where the toilets are and the college staff are very charming indeed. Eventually when you had almost given up hope they tell you it is OK and with luck you get your student ID card with your anti-terrorist mugshot on it. Then you go home.
That's what has just happened today.

on a college enrolement day, you go to the college, register your GCSE results and have a little chat about the subjects you want to take and whether you still want to take them and then you go home. easy peasy!!
