Farakan truly believes that divers planted explosives on the levees in New Orleans.
http://www.wmcstations.com/Global/story.asp?S=3891404
He claims that those explosives were placed there by the government.
http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/9/26/121533.shtml
He hasn't given any sources. He hasn't given any proof. But people believe him.
Why do people believe this crap? HOW can people believe this crap?
Do you think he's just trying to stir up trouble and get publicity?
If anything, he's Islamic and most of the terrorists that have attacked this country have had fanatical Islamic ties, wouldn't that make him a prime suspect? He sounds pretty anti-American to me.

Yes. And he isn't too smart either. He visited Arkansas State University at Jonesboro once, an event my sister attended despite being white. Just for the record up front, Northeast Arkansas has a LARGE population of anti-black individuals, and my sister more than once visibly and publicly put her life on the line to protect or assist some of her black friends.
So back to the rally. As my sister tells it, he sees my sister and publicly announces that she had no business being there as she couldn't possibly understand being a fat white chick (I'm paraphrasing some here).
His bodyguards had to drag him off stage to save him from the near-riot he started because her friends weren't about to let her get dissed like that. He'd never risked his life for them, she had. Guess who they liked more? Guess who they were going to show 'understanding' to?

Yes but a different kind of insanity. The kind that makes men like him and Jesse Jackson want to be the "god" of the current world. They think they have all the answers to everything and yet all they have is a lot of hot air. It's people like them that keep the "race" issue hot in the press. They just don't like the fact that some people do try to get along now days.

I don't have to read the sources to know that he is an outlandish character. He obviously manipulates those searching for an identity and those who want to be rebels without a cause.

I'm not sure if he's insane or if he's just a con artist. I suspect some of both.

I consider him to be what Walter Williams refers to as a "race hustler". Nothing more, nothing less.
