They feel that Muslims hate christians and that extremist Muslims would want to take out Christians first. I am asking this question respectfully. It is for understanding. With these horrible wars I am learning we have more in common than I ever realized. What is offensive about Americans and is a Devout Christian the most offensive American to you?

Would a person living a very moral live be the most offensive American to you? Is it the Americans that abuse drugs and alcholol and disrespect women that are offensive? I know people think that Christians are hated, but I am not sure that is the case. There are many people who call themselves Christian who are not like Bush.

I act this question repectfully and am not trying to offend, but please tell me with kindness what an infidel is and what Americans are offensive to Muslims. I am sure that not all of us are totally intollerable to all people.

I understand when any religion gets radicalized it gets confused.

Thank you Star and Feliz. I am here to say I am an American and I do not hate you either. In fact I know Muslim Americans and they are very nice. I was just wondering what people around the world think of us. I do not like what the Govt is doing. I do not apove. I did not vote for him, but neither did many americans. I am just trying to understand. People have this phobia and I think it is so wrong. I see it on here. They thing they are comming for the christians. Personally my BF and I are more affraid of our own americans because they shoot at people more than terrorists from foreign soil attack.

Thanks for the links. I am sorry we had to hear from Bushes old execution state. Bush says he is a Christian. But he does not act like Christ. He does not follow the 10 comandents Tho shalt no kill, but that is too much and not on topic. No I am not apologizing for the death penalty pride state of the union. I am apologizing for the millions of Americans who wish we were not at war and think it is pointless and do not like to kill. We are the ones who thing world war II was necessary, but not the others since.

I recommend anyone interested or concerned about Islam or any threat from Muslims read this. Sometimes it is wise to examine why a bogeyman theory is being promoted by political groups/governments. It is usually if not always far more complicated and takes knowledge/study to tease apart the facts from the propaganda. Boiling everything down to a few slogans like "You're with us or against us" or "All terrorists are Muslims" rarely helps understand the issues and may lead us all to destruction.
This is a very good article explaining the confusion of Americans/ other Western nations and peoples have with Islam vs. people who have political causes and happen to be Muslim, some violent/ militant, for other reasons than religion. It is hard to change gears and look at things differently, especially in today's world when questioning our government's actions is often viewed as treasonous, rather than an act of democracy, as dissent is intended to be. Nevertheless, I encourage all to stretch your mind, and watch TV less, read and study ,meet others from diverse backgrounds, travel if possible to far off lands with people who don't speak English or believe exactly as you do.

When you apologize for the actions of Americans, I hope you don't think this is the majority that thinks the same way you do. Bush is a Christian. He is also the only president to have the back bone to stand by his beliefs. I'm from Texas and Texans won't be pushed around like some of the other panty waist who complain about the way we choose to defend our country.
If it wasn't for the United States fighting aggression thruout the world, we would all be speaking German now.

Muslims don't hate Christians at all. You are entitled to your own religion, according to our religion. Only, EVERYONE WILL be held accountable for their actions and for what they believed in. That being said, Muslims do not hate any type of people. We love all races. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said a white is not superior to a black, nor a black superior to a white, except by piety and deeds. And he said this in the 600s A.D.!! We are encouraged to be compassionate and kind-hearted. But definitely, as a Muslim, I find myself more comfortable with religious Christians, as we share certain moral values. But that doesn't mean we hate drug addicts and drunkards. At the same time we don't lie and say we "love" everyone. Each person will be held accountable, it is not for us to decide.

Atheists are hated by Christians and Muslims, though they are more tolerant than both. (According to a recent survey)

Most religions warn members against those who believe differently. That instills enmity between religions.

it is only radicals who really live like that. radicals of any religion. i am a waittress and at work the other day a guy said we should drop an atomic bomb on the middle east because since they aren't christian it doesn't matter if they die.

TRUE muslims, christians, etc (NOT radicals) don't believe they should harm one another.
