Heres some food for thought. I was in the same relationship with a guy when I was 15. When we were 21 we were engaged and our wedding was 2 months away. The invitations were out, the dress, cake and hall were all paid for and he called it off. At the time I was devastated but years later Im glad he did. Now I have 2 wonderful kids with a great guy. Point being, dont rush honey be together without getting married. If you still want to be married in a few more years great, if not at least you wont have to spend money on a divorce.

I did almost exactly what you are asking. I was with a guy from age 16, we got married at 20, and now 25 yrs old we are still married with 1 child. Sometimes I do wish that I had done things differently, maybe sowed some of my wild oats. But the best thing I've gotten is my wonderful little boy. My advice is to NOT GET MARRIED especially because you and him are both going to change so much in the next 5 years.

Maybe take a break. Date others, see what that's like, and if you realize that he's the one for you go back. Allow him to do the same, then you're sure that there's noone else out there better. Or, wait a few more years.
My experience: I was with my first boyfriend from age 19-21, for 2 1/2 years. We talked about marriage, and said we loved each other, but we were entirely too young. Things ended when he got tired of me and moved on with his life. Needless to say we never got married, and I couldn't be happier!

funny, i was just having this discussion with someone i know, I
agree with the majority of the people here, you have plenty of time to marry and be with one person, you should enjoy your life now... have you ever heard the saying, set it free, if it comes back it was meant to be

I would never have married my first. This may sound crude, but how do you know what you like if you have nothing to compare it too???
