If you look at Liddell's fight record...its virtually a list of all-stars... and he's beat them all, and by knockout mostly!
Renato Sobral (twice) Vitor Belfort Kevin Randleman
Jeremy Horn Murilo Bustamante
Randy Couture (twice) Guy Mezger

These are'nt cream cuffs he beat.

Chuck can be beat, he can be beat by a better striker or a better wrestler.

Wanderlei stands a good chance with him even in UFC rules. Chuch can easily lose on the ground, not necessarily by submission but by taking him out of his element. But in order for somebody to do that they have to have strong greco type of take downs. Chuck's sprawl is too good for anyone to shoot in on him.

However someone like Rampage presents a big problem for Chuck, Rampage has the ability to pick him up and slam him, without needing to shoot in. You put Chuck on his back, you can beat him.

If you are a more technical striker you can beat him. Chuck has a wild looping style, the first time Randy beat him he beat him because he outboxed him by using straight punches.

Chuck is beatable, but there really isn't anyone currently in the UFC light heavyweight division that can beat him. UFC is going to have to sign someone else probably, unless Tito gets lucky and outconditions Chuck.

I don't see Brandon Vera doing it any time soon either, though I will agree with the poster above, he is a very talented fighter, but he doesn't have the striking or the take downs to get Chuck down, or K.O. him.

Right now signing a deal with Wanderlei or Quintin Rampage Jackson seems to be the only people with the tools. Of course like I said, Tito could get lucky.

Can Chuck be beat? Anyone can be beat. Will he lose anytime soon? I don't think so. Everyone talking about Wanderlei beating Chuck, forget it. That fight is not going to take place. Silva and Pride have pulled out of the whole thing. Don't look for that anytime soon. Recently, Randy Couture was asked who he thought could beat Lidell. He said Rich Franklin and Tito Ortiz. I think Tito would have a chance if he could get a takedown and use some G&P. BUT, therein lies the problem, who can take Chuck down? Remember Lidell/Couture 3? Randy took Chuck down and I thought he was gonna be able to start working him. NOPE. Chuck popped right back up. Face it, even you Pride lovers and UFC haters, Chuck Lidell is at his peak right now and the guy is absolutely lethal. Be looking for Lidell v. Ortiz in December. That should be a fight if Tito is healthy, but then again, I said that about Lidell/Couture also. Look what happened there. Far as Wanderlei goes, I don't know how much of him will be left after his fight with Crocop.

If you are familiar with Pride Fighting then you know the Wanderlei Silva is the man and that the question should be asked can Chuck beat Silva? Don't get me wrong Chuck is the **** and a cool guy, we've drank a few times, but Silva is a warrior! Fedor Emelianko would run through every one though. What I would really like to see is a unified open Grand Prix. UFC and PRIDE. Heres how I think it would unfold. Screw weight class, 180 lbs or bigger can fight. Im leaving some people off the list beacuse its my list! Belt holders and Recent GP winners.

1. WANDERLEI SILVA
8. TIM SYLVIA

3. FEDOR EMELIANENKO
6. DAN ANDERSON

4. hulk hogan
5. RICH FRANKLIN

7. ANDREI ARLOVSKI
2. CHUCK LIDDELL

SILVA
EMELIANKO

FRANKLIN
LIDDELL

EMELIANKO beats LIDDELL BY KO

Liddell has only been put on the deck a few times by the three people he's lost to and to a few guys he came back in the fight to beat including Guy Mezger in Chucks first Pride appearance. Silva gets knocked to at least one knee in many of his fights and if anyone is capable of finishing him off when he gets rocked its liddell. as for ufc fighters in the 205 wt. class-the only one with any hope is the truth Vera and despite his impressive mma record i think its too soon for him to face chuck

Yeah because they used to say the same thing about Matt Hughes when he was running rough shot all over the Welterwieght division until BJ Penn shocked the world by choking him out. The only fighter who can beat Liddell is another heavy handed striker with an iron jaw. That or he just retires of old age.

Why not have middle weight champion Franklin fight him? He's been a handful for everyone in his weight class too. Maybe they could meet at a weight in the middle? Unfortunately the fight with Silva isnt happening anytime soon. He has tools to beat Chuck. Not that he would but he could. Give Forrest Griffen a few more fights and he could be a contender. He takes punishment well and has a heart the size of texas. But that's about the only options. He's mowed down everyone else.

Chuck still needs to fight Rampage Jackson who has beaten Chuck before but I don't think he can do it again. Wanderlei Silva is the biggest threat, but I still don't see him beating Chuck.
I think either Chuck needs to move up in weight and fight the heavyweights OR one of the heavyweights will move down to fight him.
Keep your eye on Brandon Vera 17-0-0...in time this young heavyweight is going to be a star and can easily move down to light heavyweight.

Chuck looks pretty unbeatable right now, although the promoters at the UFC have gone to great lengths to convince us all that his opponents actually have a chance. No one in the UFC light heavyweight division can beat him. A few heavyweights would definitely give him a fight, but it is to the boys in Pride that Chuck has something to prove. He has avenged all his losses, except for Rampage, who could have lost the fight to Chuck if Chuck hadn't gassed. If he fights the Axe Murderer, that will determine the best light heavyweight champ in the world. Until then, he can't be considered unbeatable.

no way rampage jackson can beat him again, silva maybe (wanderlai). i actually dont think anybody in the heavyweight division can beat chuck either. somebody has to go at least 2 rounds with him and catch him off guard. the icemans game is pure aggression early in the first. if you can guard and counter for
a round maybe you can catch him making a mistake. i thought if sobral fought how he knew how to fight he would have fared a little better than he did (probably still would have lost) .
someone will end his streak it is inevitable but right now i can't think of anybody.

I don't see the Iceman losing anytime in the near future. I see him running through Silva with a KO in the second and a KO in the first against Ortiz after that. Nobody right now can beat the Iceman. If it were Pride rules, Silva might worry me, but I don't think he can do it in the UFC.
