ok posted a few hours ago and thanks to all those who replied...thing is im 18 in one month and i KNOW he's not a pedophile and has NEVER had any cruel intentions on me. he and i both have our own comitments with work and we dont spend that much time together. actually he was helping me with work experience and we kind of grew closer together through that. and now i wanted to spend more time with him, but not just as a student/advisor style...i just posted because i was curious about what people might think about age difference. and im not foolish, i KNOW when im dealing with weirdos and he is not one!

by dating i mean to say spending more time with not having sex with. the age gap might be huge and i know that some people just stick around for sex and if not there's rejection for sure. but i think that he's profesional enough to know that he cant sleep with someone under 18.

It is WRONG. Please u do not know him sweetie! All the girls say that and then what? Plus he has more life, love, sex experience and more. He can drink, vote, go to war, he has a career and ur still in school. I don't get people like you. I've always liked same age, months younger then me. I understand they may be attractive, mature, and a lot better then teenage boys but u have got to, got to, find a guy UR AGE! U do not know sweetie that he isn't. He could be hiding it. Again EVERY girl says that and then something happens. I am older then u, I have seen it many many times. I am much wiser then you. Please don't do it. He hasn't had any cruel intentions YET. He hasn't had his chance, ur not even dating, or even ? U barely know him, give it a few months and I will be right.

Why would a 27 year old doctor want to date a 17 year old? Unless it is the sex, I feel like you may want this relationship more than the doctor, and I also feel you may not have enough in common after the work experience thing.....or not

I've always believed that age is just a number. But in your case, I don't think so. He's probably way more mature than you are. He's been through medical school and you are probably still in high school or just getting out. Find someone closer to your own age.

you sound smart enough to know what ur doing so dont worry about the age difference, 10yrs is not that much and you'll be legal soon enough, when i was ur age i had a boyfriend 11yrs older than me and now, im with someone older too, so dont worry about it, use ur head u should be fine

though da society wud b against it...ur folks may be against it....a lot depends on u whether u think ur decision is right & dis guy wud not take u for a ride....cos trust me...wen sentiments r hurt it hurts real bad inside u...& u curse urself for doing dis mistake....

I dont think there is anything wrong with it. Just be sure its what you want first before you make any moves. 10 years difference isnt that bad.
