I haven't tried that particular product, but I am trying Nature Made's CLA pills (just started them today). I did some checking on-line, not sites that promote/sell the product but those dedicated to research and medicine. There's mixed opinion out there on whether it's effective in humans, as the majority of the testing has been done on animals. However, CLA is found in many of the things we already eat and drink: beef and milk, for example.

So far, I haven't read anywhere that it is not safe, and you can pretty much find it on any grocery store shelf where the vitamins and supplements are. Many athletes take CLA to help build lean muscle mass while improving how the body burns fat, which is why I'm trying it. The only cautionary statements I've seen have been related to obese individuals, as taking CLA can create a resistance to insulin, which isn't good if you have diabetes.

I personally haven't experienced some of the side effects that others have referenced here, but I've been taking it during meals, which is what you're supposed to do to help minimize them. Whether the stuff works or not, who knows? I guess we'll see if my curiousity pays off.

To take as a daily substitute for excess fiber. My body will not tolirate excess fiber and I use the suppliment of conjugated linoleic acid that I order from Australia. It keeps the body purged and gives me more wellness.

Usage is by body weight and age.
