Save the world with your own hands, not relying on a so-called saviour!

Saviour of science? I don't think so, and I will put forward 2 main reasons:

1) Independancy - honestly, faith and science are very, very different things. Science is a way of finding the highest co-efficients of accuracy about all else... I'm not taking a swipe when I say that I would like to hear how you think faith applies to this.

2) Need of a saviour - I am also uncertain if you know just how fast science is advancing... a simply amazing rate, across pretty much all fields, leaping and bounding above what anyone had imagined before. My question is thus - what need has science of a saviour?

Finally, kindly don't capitalise "science" - it's entire purpose is that you need neither faith nor worship nor reverance for anything (but reality) to study science. That is why we have left wing scientists, right wing scientists, peoples of all faiths and beliefs.

This is also another reason why I see these two as independant.

I should like to see how your perception of the issue incorporates this.

Edit: And to the fool above, mathematics is the Queen of science, NOT faith.

Why does science need a saviour it's doing alright on it's own. Science has helped more people stay alive with all new medicines and hospital treatments so why does it need a saviour?
It's faith or someones faith that has led to wars and it is science that has saved the lives of some of the injured soldiers.

As you have already noticed, your question has not been understood, or perhaps I should say it has been understood but needs no thought at all!
I assume by 'faith' you mean the belief in some sort of deity? That can in no way be associated with science can it? Science requires systematic study and method , if you applied these methods to 'faith' or religion you would reach no conclusion, except that faith does exist! but faith is only in the mind (whatever it is that you have faith in) ! No logic at all involved!

Since science is always an imperfect explanation of the world, an element of faith is always required to hold onto the old order before it is swept away and included in something new, so I would say yes, faith is the saviour of science.

If Faith is out to save Science it's going at it from a very strange approach. I haven't seen those of faith do anything but pervert the message of science and criticise those who bring scientific knowledge. What's more science is the assassin of faith, if faith tries to do anything but hold it's own it may be it's final effort.

OK here goes again. A scientists mind is an open mind. Yet so far faith and science have never worked together.
But Jesus Said" I will make fishers of men" It did not mean that Jesus would change the disciples into different beings: It meant that he would direct their hunting instincts into a higher channel.
Exact same principle applies to our scientists. God has blessed so many scientists already, but they seem to want to deny him.

Not sure what your question means. But I think there is no dichotomy between faith and science. I like the comment that science is there to understand the work of God. Because of science, I do NOT believe in evolution.

Faith is total rubbish...

You may as well have faith that the world was really created by care bears and that if you dont sing the care bear song each day you wont go to heaven...

You going to take the chance

Leave your fantasy world behind and enter the world of proof and reason and fairness

What do you mean? Are you talking about the science vs religion debate? By the sound of it you believe. Onec explanation is that science is merely a study and attempt to understand the work of God

Oh and by the way, the Queen of Sciences is maths!

God in no way suggested we were the in simple terms rationalization for the universe modern. Your faith in God must be by using your own relationship with Him. not some theory of God or what someone has advised you. once you recognize God in my view and elements your existence to him your existence will replace perpetually. No that's not all about peace, exhilaration and happiness. those issues are good yet a existence with God is a existence of persecution the following. that's not for wimps. Your faith receives examined each and each day that's why Jesus suggested, "those who stand agency to the proper will be kept"
