Isaiah-stated "Unto us a child is born, a SON is given and He shalt be the prince of peace, the almighty GOD, and the wonderful counselor."
some say that is how you interpret what that says--excuse me are you so ----you cant believe simple truth---well i as a Jew couldnt i was taught to reject Jesus at all stakes -my mom said he is a liar and deciever--- other times she would say -"Jesus never existed"
but i like all true believers -as He knocked on my heart to believe broke through my determined heart not to believe what Isaiah and Jesus said----Jesus said-"I and my father are one" what is this

Jesus said "Behold i stand at your hearts door and knock-if ye repent of sins and let me in to help you, I will become your friend" Revelation3 vs 19&20
I prayed first God show me the truth---and then i finally saw it like my Bubbi (Yiddish grandma from boston-told me yes Jesus is our Messiah go tell everyone!!!) when reading Isaiah 52:13-53:12-Yes we have Jesus Son of God!!!

In Matthew chapter 1:23, it says the child Mary is going to have will be "Emmanuel", which means "God with us" and is a quote from the scripture in Isaiah. So, yes, according to the New Testament, Jesus is the fulfillment of that scripture.

Take a little time to read through the book of Matthew and look specifically for the number of times that Matthew quotes Old Testament scriptures or says that what Jesus did was a fulfillment of an Old Testament prophecy. (About 90 times) It will help you see the connection between the Jewish scriptures and Jesus.

Welcome to the family. You will be in my prayers today...

No, Jesus was not the messiah predicted in the book of Isaiah, and no, you are not Jewish; you are an insecure Christian convert who posts the same stuff over and over again, trying to get reassurance from Christians that you're a good boy.

<
Amongst the most basic missions that the Messiah will accomplish DURING HIS LIFETIME (Isaiah 42:4) are to:

* Oversee the rebuilding of Jerusalem, including the Third Temple, in the event that it has not yet been rebuilt (Michah 4:1 and Ezekiel 40-45)

* Gather the Jewish people from all over the world and bring them home to the Land of Israel (Isaiah 11:12; 27:12-13)

* Influence every individual of every nation to abandon and be ashamed of their former beliefs (or non-beliefs) and acknowledge and serve only the One True God of Israel (Isaiah 11:9-10; 40:5 and Zephaniah 3:9)

* Bring about global peace throughout the world (Isaiah 2:4; 11:5-9 and Michah 4:3-4).

There are over a dozen additional prophecies which the Messiah will also achieve (there is no mention of any "second coming" in the Tanach or the New Testament). In order to avoid identifying the wrong individual as Messiah, the Code of Jewish Law dictates criteria for establishing the Messiah's identity (Mishnah Torah Kings 11:4):

"If a king arises from the House of David who meditates on the Torah, occupies himself with the commandments as did his ancestor King David, observes the commandments of the Written and Oral Law, prevails upon all Israel to walk in the way of the Torah and to follow its direction, and fights the wars of God, it may be assumed that he is the Messiah.

If he does these things and is fully successful, rebuilds the Third Temple on its location, and gathers the exiled Jews, he is beyond doubt the Messiah. But if he is NOT FULLY SUCCESSFUL, or IF HE IS KILLED, he is not the Messiah."

Over 1,000 years before the attributed birth of the historical Jesus, it was recorded in the Tanach:

* Numbers 23:19: God is not a man, that He should be deceitful, nor the son of man, that He should repent. Would He say and not do, or speak and not confirm?

* Psalms 146:3: Do not rely on princes nor in the son of man, for he holds no salvation.

Even the New Testament concurs that Jesus, in fact, is not the Messiah:

* Matthew 20:28: Just as the son of man did not come to be served, but to serve. >>

Yes He is the same Son of God that Isaiah prophesied about. Take a look at Isaiah chapter 7 verse 14. Jesus is the only person ever to be thought to be born of a virgin. Also look at the New Testament-Luke chapter 2. Count yourself blessed among Jews because you have inherited earthly and heavenly promisses from God because of your faith in Him and His Son. The scriptures tell us that Jews will inherit the earth but only 144,000 will rejoyce around His throne along with the multitude that is in heaven. Continue to walk by faith and the Holy Spirit will continue to lead you into all truth. Amen

The New testament does mention the second coming of Jesus (in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye He will return through the clouds just as He did when He daparted after the ressurection, and meet us in the air on the day of armegedon) and If i'm not mistaken Mary's lineage can be traced back to King David.

Hopefully this will help you. In the old testament the passover was celebrated, do you remember the story? Basically the reason why the israelites were not wiped out that night was because their faith was in the blood of the lamb. All throughout those days a lamb was offered up to the LORD for the sins of the people, again their faith was in the blood. In the new testament Jesus was the lamb offered up once and for all for our sins, your faith in the shed blood of christ makes you right with the father, you now have total access to almighty God, and never have to work for your salvation, its a free gift for you and all mankind.Yes you have the messiah, good on you for standing on your faith!Something you may want to tell your family and friends, when the messiah does come, he will come with wounds! He has already been for the first time, Zechariah 12:10. God bless.

God the eternal Son became incarnate in Jesus Christ. Through Him all things were created, the character of God is revealed, the salvation of humanity is accomplished, and the world is judged. Forever truly God, He became also truly man, Jesus the Christ. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived and experienced temptation as a human being, but perfectly exemplified the righteousness and love of God. By His miracles He manifested God's power and was attested as God's promised Messiah. He suffered and died voluntarily on the cross for our sins and in our place, was raised from the dead, and ascended to minister in the heavenly sanctuary in our behalf. He will come again in glory for the final deliverance of His people and the restoration of all things. (John 1:1-3, 14; Col. 1:15-19; John 10:30; 14:9; Rom. 6:23; 2 Cor. 5:17-19; John 5:22; Luke 1:35; Phil. 2:5-11; Heb. 2:9-18; 1 Cor. 15:3, 4; Heb. 8:1, 2; John 14:1-3.)

Hello David
The ten tribes to the north called the house of Israel was divorced from God in about 700 bc. Jeremiah 8:3 Then about 606 bc the house of Judah the southern tribes of Judah, Benjamin and Levi were taken into Babylon. The book of Daniel, Ezra, and Nehemiah. To understand why Jesus is the messiah you should understand why. The only people that had made a commitment to the law were the Israelities when the crossed the Jordan. This vow they made was broken and caused there judgement, so the only way that they could be redeemed was for God the Husband of Israel to die. When you see friend it might be studied further that John the Babtist was called a friend, but he was a Levi priest. It is important to discern between the priesthood and the wife of God. In the book of Hosea God says you will call him Ishi, or husband in the English. The priesthood God says HE is there inheritance. Making them friends of the bridegroom. I will paste on scripture here about you marrying another even him whom is raised from the dead. God Bless

Romans 7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? 2For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. 4Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Yes, Jesus is the Messiah as Isaiah said. The Son of God, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Even the demons believe and tremble and people who give disrespectful answers are squirming inside, too, although they don't like to admit it. It's the same now as it was when they crucified Jesus. "Now it was Caiaphas who gave counsel to the Jews that it was expedient that one man should die for the people." (John18: 14) They all knew who He was--they just wouldn't admit it because they killed him because of envy. Times change, but people don't.
I'm glad you found the truth. May God bless you as you build your relationship with Jeshua. Shalom.

David,
When I see your "questions" I wonder why lies, arrogance, deception, and cowardly propagandists exist.
=======================
David,
You are a Christian. Stop this evil and deceptive form of missionizing. It degrades christianity.

It is, by definition, impossible for it to be "jewish" to believe in jesus. "Jewish" is, by defintion, what jews have historically and contemporarily believe. Since in neither scenario do we find "believing in jesus", then we must clearly realize that belief in jesus is not something "jewish". You can call it "biblical" (and still be wrong), but certainly not "jewish".

on the side, isaiah 9 can't be about jesus since, according to christianity, he's the "son" not the "father" (as the verse states). Nor did he have control of the governement (to the contrary, the roman government killed him). And he certainly did not establish "endless peace".

oh, and lastly, I've decided that you truly epitomize everything I find intensely intellectually unsatisfying about christianity. (And you clearly do not understand hebrew.)

Isaiah also says he is the everlasting Father.

Emanuel ( God with us )

I was never a Jew, I have many Jewish friends that I will not proselytize.I simply love them as descendants of the chosen. All end times prophesy is dependent on Israel.

I will defend them to the hilt and I have donated generously. It was always a remnant of Israel to be saved. Just as those in the world , not everyone can be saved. You as one of the lost sheep of Israel are most welcome.
