In 1995, after a series of secretive meetings, Jerry Falwell, a hypocritical member of the christian right, accepted a 3.5 million dollar donation from the Rev. Sun Myung Moon. This donation was gladly accepted to "save" Liberty University, and was announced on TV(though falwell didn't say who gave it to him).

Rev Moon, is the head of the moonie church. He believes he is the reincarnated Jesus Christ, claims Jesus failed because he didn't procreate, is a sexual pervert, believes America is the reaping of satan's harvest, and supports the Republican party. He is also a major global arms dealer!

Don't you think it's hypocritical for Jerry Falwell to accepted a donation from Rev Moon- a false preacher? OR is it just another example of how low some right wing televangelists will go to get their hands on more precious money?

It is a classic example of someone claiming to be Christian, acting contrary to what he preaches.

Are you familiar with the case of Judas Iscariot? You have probably heard of how he betrayed Jesus to the religious leaders of his day.

But, before that he had been the treasurer of Jesus and his disciples - AND HE WAS STEALING FROM THE PURSE! (John 12:4-6)

The book of Revelation also refers to false religion being involved with the merchants of the world. This is part of the reason that false religion will be destroyed, with God putting it into the hearts of the 'kings of the earth'. (See Revelation chapters 17 & 18)

I personally have always had trouble soliciting money, when I believe that God knows all of my needs, and will supply, according to His word.
Big ministries have gotten to the point that the adminsistration takes major amounts of time, and energy, and money. I think if any of the listed are getting exausted it should be a sign to slow down. Can you minister effectively if you are burdened with mental and financial burdens? God knows your needs even before you speak and I feel that some of these ministries have missed a word here and there or they would be covered. It is just my take on things. I will add that if God wants me to go to NYC and panhandle as a way to overcome pride or something, I would be obedient to that. If I started to like it, I would feel it was time to leave.
I remember a few years ago whe Oral Roberts went on a fast at his college. he went up into the tower and put our a new bite that he would fast until someone donated some big money.First of all when we fast, we are to wash our face and anoint out heads with oil and not make a public issue out of it. Everyday, he was in the newspapers and on TV, looking skinnier and skinnier. Finally an athiest from San Diego, I believe gave him around a million to shut up. Isn't life strange. Did God need that show? I would say he didn't need it at all because there was probably some collateral damage, but I am positrive of one thing. God turned it around to His purpose. It did get people talking and wondering about those "Christians".

Well, I kind of always thought Falwell was a pig anyway so this is not news to me. I'm not sure why it would surprise anyone.

There are many sick people out there who hide behind God to do very bad things. I'm not sure if they think what they do is bad or if they are mentally ill enough to actually feel justified. But to normal human beings...they are generally viewed as boils on *ss of humanity.

Rev Moon is insane. Falwell is a creep. Big news there.

To be blunt, the moonies are a religious cult, jerry falwell is tangled up in some serious trouble here, and by the sound of it is already buried deep in it! If you have a faith I sure hope you dont throw it away because they are hipocrates. Look to God for yourself. And please look up some info on the valuable website already listed, but I will emphasize it again. Yours sincerely.

I googled "Jerry Falwell 1995 Sun Myung Moon" and found many references to your question. It seems that your facts are correct. I agree with you that it's hypocritical of Jerry Falwell. All you have to do is look into his eyes to see how dishonest he is. I have never trusted him.

If this is true - and I haven't got time to independantly verify it right now - but if this is true, one can assume that Rev. Moon somehow sees the continuation of Fallwells vision as beneficial to his cause. That frightens me... Falwell and Moon are both cult leaders.

Actually, the Lord will take the money of fools to introduce his kingdom to doubters such as yourself, who dare bring politics into Christianity. I don't like Falwell, but he preaches a lot of truth. I surely don't care for Moon because he is a cultist. And I don't care for those who divide the body of Christ behind non-essentials.

On the seventh day man created the idea of god and it was profitable.

If there is a god the last thing he would need is man made money. Only people suffer from greed.

You didn't list any sources, is it a secret that only you and the parties involved know, or did the FBI let you know?
You know if something like that really happened,it would be on every television station in America.
