Im male.. My hair is about 2 inches long but it always "stands-up"

Your hair may have cowlicks and needs to be a bit longer to lay down nicely. I would go to your stylist and tell her about your problem. There are many products available for your specific problem,but it depends on whether you want a hard stiff look or something soft and move-able. If you just want to go to the store without going to a professional then try Target or almost any other store. The point being that a professional can lead you in the right direction with your hair type and what to use.

go to your stylist and have them suggest the right product for you. in my opinion you might try Redken's product- Rewind #6 it has a nice hold

Well i have heard pouring coke (i think it's not diet coke, the original one) over your hair helps!
