if someone gets arraigned for violation of probation do they get sentenced immediately or later on?

if someone gets arraigned for violation of probation do they get sentenced immediately or later on?

my nephew had his probation officer bring him in to court for 3-4 violatons of probation.they continued it.does this mean it was dropped or does he have to see the judge that sentenced him?he pleaded guilty 2 months ago and no drugs no alcohol etc was put in the wording.he thinks its over.is it?

He's got a surprise coming if he thinks it's over if the judge agrees he violated probation.
